Is Ebay the best bet for selling electronics?

Recommended Posts

I recently listed a console on Ebay and along with the usual problems such as guestimating a good price etc I've actually realised that there are so many videogame products on there that it is realistically very difficult to sell an item unless it is either specialist/rare or you're just wanting to get rid at a low-ish cost.

I've found that word of mouth is a greater tool of marketing a sale (especially with popular items highly sought after...Ala wii).

Does anyone else therefore think that with popular items, Ebay really isn't that good?

Well I'm gonna sell my Wii on there and I will make much more there than in any store. But on the whole most likely.

There are so many bundles/sinle units going for around £180-200 on Ebay that it looks like profit isn't a factor anymore. Saturation is.

i disagree. ebay is popular and appears to be filled with mothers who want to please their kids, especially around this time of year.

just last week, i sold a silver DS lite that i won in a competition for £150 profit (not including fees etc).
