PlayStation 3 Console Discussion

Actually wanted to try Malicious. Don't think I'll have time to play any of those, though.

Aren't we meant to be getting Thomas Was Alone today?

Didn't someone post about Malicious asking for opinions not so long ago in here?

So a Ratchet film and a Heavenly Sword CG home-video release both in the works. Will definitely check out R & C. Hoping for a Groovitron montage with nonchalant wrench finishing moves. And gore.

Elefunk is great. Everyone grab it.

I've been itching to play Tetris recently. Anyone know if this version is any good? I'd kill for a version that was literally exactly the same as the original GameBoy one.

Yes that's all I ever want from Tetris, does anyone ever want the other versions they continue to make?... just give us Tetris! p

I'm tempted by Sound Shapes! :D ... has it been on Plus yet?

Also when is Thomas Was Alone out?...

I read that it's coming to Plus as well, and that because it was Cross Play you can play it on the PS3... is that correct, or would you need a Vita to do this?

Hmm.. I might pick up After Burner: Climax and Sonic 4: Episode II at these prices as I actually enjoyed the original Sonic 4 on Wii..

Edit: By the way: I'm an idiot :D That's the US blog and today is not the 23rd. Sorry about that.

Thomas Was Alone it is then!! and it's got 20% off on Plus atm according to that! :)

Acutally, I think it will be free in Europe when it comes out.

Here's proof

If you’ve got PS Plus and you’re in the EU, you can download the game as part of the IGC at no additional cost. Which is awesome.

Anyone know how many people subscribe to Plus? I'd be interested to know.

Can't wait for Thomas Was Alone.

They've never released numbers only that it's extremely profitable.

I wish Thomas Was Alone had been released a few days ago. Now I've already started playing Knytt Underground and need to finish that first, but I'm not really feeling it at all so far.

What's Knytt like? I have it downloaded. The gameplay interests me but not sure what I think about the graphical style.

It's just aimless wandering around so far. Someone tells you that before you can pass, you need to find one or more items, and you just wander around until you find them and can bring them back. I don't know, it's just kind of boring.

I also really can't stand the writing, character design and the self-indulgent "I-will-name-every-character-after-a-friend" naming convention.

I thought Knytt was shite. Really ugly looking game too, like it's made out of clip-art. Deleted it after 15 minutes.

Thomas was alone is everything but fun and interesting.

Game mechanics are incredibly boring, just jump around, switch between 'characters' and do the same thing over and over again while some English man is talking about how John wants to be nice and Thomas fucks his mom while Chris is eating a mouse with chopsticks made of barbwire (or something like that, my thoughts just wandered from porn to porn while playing).

Even if the game turned into a pile of gold that would make me richer than a coke-sniffing pimp, I'd still have deleted it after 15 minutes.

Just like @Daft (and myself) did with Knytt.

God, you're into some weird stuff.

I hope it's better than what you're saying, but you never know with these pretentious indie games. Sometimes they're great, and other times you can't believe something so bad can be critically acclaimed (see: Dear Esther and Thirty Flights of Loving).

Dear Esther...seriously can't believe anyone would willingly admit to playing that. It's dire.

I played it before it was cool.

It was awful back then, too.

PlayStation+ in June could be amazing.

We have the regular updates, but we also have the long term games (inFamous 2, Motorstorm Apocalypse, LittleBigPlanet 2) changing.

Any guesses on what these could be?

My prediction is Killzone 3, PSASBR and Uncharted 2.

Have there been any good local multiplayer games on the PS3? Discounting Fifa, I struggle to think of any that contend with the games on the Cube/64.

A friend of mine has Sonic All-stars Ultra Mega Racing Transformers Dark Of The Moon or whatever it's called.

It's great. Better than most of the Mario Kart games. Can get a bit cluttered at 4 player split screen but it's still lots of fun.

A nice touch is that you can play the so called World Tour with mates.

My prediction is Killzone 3, PSASBR and Uncharted 2.

Killzone 3 would suck, because I bought it a month ago for 10€ at a local store, so could've saved that :p

Uncharted 2 ::shrug: Already have it.

And what the fuck is PSASBR?
