Well I think if they are completely having to rebuild it all (I've heard rumours of new servers, new net code, new encryption) then fuck the hackers. I know those anon guys have said it wasn't them but if this was so much as even some attempt on a attack for sony not allowing homebrew etc... Then fuck them, do something cool like hacking home so a billboard says support homebrew or summit don't fuckint bring the whole system down to its knees, arseholes and their backwards crusades! So annoying that lovefilm doesn't work as well whilst the likes of iplayer do!

Yeah XBL has had it's issues in the past with some slow down or the problem at xmas 2008, but nothing this bad as pretty much nothing is working at all online for half a week so far.

Not doing much multiplayer, the downtime of the PSN shouldn't be too much of a catastrophe.

I had to realize though, that GT5 has the annoing-as-hell habit of asking you to log into PSN after every menu change. The game also thinks it's a good idea to show you a nice popup, asking kindly to upgrade to the newest version if you haven't done that, yet.

Read the above. Quite a serious issue. Not clear how many are affected but in a nutshell while PSN was being attacked someone took advantage of the situation and took account details of users. Credit card information is likely not compromised but Sony are not ruling anything out.

I would'nt blame people. Your numbers could have been partially obtained. Seems like the people who did this are real pros as no one knew what was happening.
