CoolFunkMan
I just tried to turn up the volume on my computer, and I couldn't find the sound settings in the bottom right hand corner. So I went into it, via the control panel, and it was all greyed out. So, I checked my computer's device manager (under system > hardware), and it's appearing as an "audio device on high definition audio bus". It has a yellow question mark and a yellow exclamation mark next to it. My card is a Creative Soundblaster Audigy 2. I really have no idea where to start with fixing this, thanks in advance if anyone can help... [EDIT] I shut down my comp, opened it up and found that there was a wire under my cpu fan. I moved it, restarted... and the sound suddenly came back to life. Weird. Ignore this post, sorry to waste anyone's time, lol.
Shorty
hokey dokey glad your sound is fixed. This thread shall be closed with the undying message that if your sound doesn't work, pull bits of wire out of your PC. Excellent.
