jammy2211
http://www.consolegaming.eu/newspost.php?id=385 October 23rd 2007 - Today marks an historic day in the realm of gaming: the Wii get's it's first MMORPG! HullBreach Online is a futuristic space-shooter MMO RPG built for the Wii’s Internet Channel, has seen an open beta release today. The RPG brings together gamers on both the Wii and on the Opera desktop into one massive environment, using a dual control scheme that allows both a Wii Remote and a standard keyboard. HullBreach lets players take on the role of starship pilots on campaigns to explore space, take on missions, and interact with the sights of the galaxy. This beta release allows players to make hyperspace jumps through more than 500 sectors in space, each with a potentially endless number of locations for completing missions, surveys, and trades. In future releases and the eventual final release, players will also be able to chat and trade with each other, battle, interact with NPCs, upgrade and purchase ships, and more! HullBreach sets the bar for graphics possible on the Internet Channel by using the canvas object, which allows graphics comparable to the SNES, at speeds greater than that of Adobe Flash. The game makes extensive use of the Wii Opera SDK, a popular JavaScript software library which allows for 3D graphics with texture-mapping, Wii Remote interaction, and multiuser communication. Well er, sounds interesting. Probably never amount to anything but could be a good waste of a day.

gaggle64
If it's built with the Wii in mind, fair play I suppose. Also, I'm naturally drawn to almost anything involving space exploration and laser guns. Almost anything, anyway.
Zechs Merquise
Well it seems that they're trying something interesting. Give them credit for that.
Tellyn
Hopefully it'll be good. I remember the last company that trumpetted about Wii/DS compatibility in an MMO, and it turned out to be a text adventure with pictures. :/
flameboy
Hopefully it'll be good. I remember the last company that trumpetted about Wii/DS compatibility in an MMO, and it turned out to be a text adventure with pictures. :/ yeah your thinking of Broken Kingdoms which was well broken...I went on it and there was one other person playing and that was on the launch day! Hopefully this could be good...but I'm not holding my breath...shall wait and see.
DCK
Meh, MMOs are probably too hardcore for me. Except likely Animal Crossing.
Tellyn
The beta's been launched. The site's really primitive, and I can't use it in Internet Explorer for some reason, so I'll wait till I go on my Wii.
