Super stressed. Realised I only have two weeks to finish my dissertation. Problem is I also have to include the process and progress on my illustration work... yet so far I only have one illustration (which I'm not even sure is good enough). I don't know how I can include stuff I don't have, or won't have. Two weeks is not enough to write all this and finish illustrations in.

 

Unless I don't sleep. At all.

I pretty much always used to do my progress work after the final piece... or atleast at the same time as.

 

Sure all your build up work is supposed to help you reach the idea for the fianl piece, but I never worked like that. I always tended to come up with the near final idea/concept first (sure it might progress a bit). Then just show other ideas that I thought of a long the way.

-my friend cheated on his girlfriend, but its ok because she has cheated on him three times

-epic laughs came from the entire incident

-drunkenly using the self service at tesco at 2am is difficult

-woke up inside a tesco shopping trolley in my friends front room

-one of my friends lost his jeans, they are nowhere to be found in the entire house or garden and nobody is owning up to stealing them

-he was wearing them at the time he lost them

-playing football in an hour, not good

-never been sick from alcohol (vomit free since '03)

-writing like this is fun

-i think i might STILL be drunk

-shredded all the skin off my fingers from playing guitar too vigourously

-think ive run out of things to say

-alot more probably happened but its a bit fuzzy

 

edit: oh yeah, we also invented the word "goocken". which is a goose/chicken crossbreed. Goocken can now be used as a substitute for almost any word and it will still make sense.

 

double edit: oh, and i also drunkenly waved down a police car thinking it was a ned in a saxo. my friend proceeded to get shouted at while i walked in the opposite direction.

How can you do progress stuff after a final piece?

 

When I say progress stuff I mean research, analysis, sketches and all that. Basically I'm making a picture book about fostering, but to do this I first made an analysis of books that are currently available. That analysis I now have to use to make my own book, and I have to show/write in my dissertation how I'm applying my findings from the analysis to my own work. Problem is I don't have time to make any images to showwww. =(

Just had an awesome moment at work.

 

My co-worker's dad passed away last week (no, that's definitely not the awesome bit) so we've got her a sympathy card. I had no idea what to put so I googled "best thing to write in a sympathy card". Once I'd found a good thing to write I passed it on to the next person. He has the same idea but his search method was slightly different.

 

"best thing to write in a death card".

 

His stupidity astounds me at times.

Work here is intolerably slow. I can't believe I am still here, feels like I must've been sat at this chair for the last 30 hours at least. There's only 13 minutes left and still it drags. Horrendous dance music has been playing for half the day.

Today has been a miserable day.

 

A lot of my games design group have been complaining about our tutor, saying he's useless, he hasn't given enough time for our work. So one of the guys came to me saying we should get a petition to extend the deadline or at the very least mention to the tutor that we aren't happy.

 

A lot of people agreed, so I set-up this petition, stated I'd have a word with the tutor and then the blacklash came, particularly from one person, a girl I'm friends with, over the recent weeks she's been incredibly rude to me over the way I do my work, I'm not sure what to do, I want to speak to her, but I can't do that until the group work is out the way otherwise it could ruin the project.

 

Sigh.

 

Otherwise I bought dragon age, I've been doing unreal work and pondering what to do about said friend.

I signed up here to ask if they'd address a problem I was having with the main site that I understand they're now looking into which is just great.

 

I've been lurking here a while using the Nintendo boards as a news resource, but I decided to make a few posts on there and in "General" and to my surprise received a pleasant few messages of welcoming and one tempting offer of very sloppy, very digital, very green oral sex (raincheque Mr. ReZourceman?). I'm just currently perusing the various boards and posting in a couple of threads that take my fancy.

 

Anyway, you all seem like a nice bunch and not too vast in populace to be all cliquey and impenetrable like a lot of other forums. I like that you have a devoted Lost thread and an anime thread and there's a massive area for discussion of Nintendo's waning ability to produce games that control how I'd like them to. There's also a spot to banter about other nontendo consoles which is cool.

 

I figured I'd post in here rather than introduce myself in a separate thread.

 

Guess I'll continue to observe the political debate unfold in the Election thread and eventually watch the new Glee episode as, despite my pathetic love for the series, I've yet to see it. So happy it came back and is getting a full second season. Lea Michele is a goddess. I need a plan to put my children in her.

I just watched the new episode, not sure what i thought of it. It seemed a little tired despite it being a reasonably new show. It seems like the same story lines, just with different songs. Someone trying to break up Glee Club and a romance involving Rachel, again.

You're absolutely right. I sat watching it and felt it was just retreading old ground. Funny moments, but the storylines seem worn out on Glee already.

 

I think they were using this as an episode to reintroduce the concept and characters and maybe we'll see it expand outward from here on. I certainly hope so, the show and cast have plenty of life in them but it's all down to how they write it whether or not it remains as popular as it was for the first set of episodes.

 

Really hate that new guy Rachel is seeing though, from the rival club. What a douche.

Late nights and early mornings shouldn't mix. Ended up finishing some of my unreal work at 2am only to get up at 7am anyway, to start unreal all over again, I'm tired of this program, but at least my level looks semi-decent now.

 

Off to class, gym and then a meal. I can't wait for the days when I can sleep in again, I can't even do that this weekend. Eurgh.

Had more NAT problems with my 360, hopefully it is sorted now.

Ahhhhh I agreed with my sister to go to a hairdresser todayyyy. Now I'm stressing out cause I don't know what they should do with my hair and they will probably mess it up anyway. Haven't had a haircut since June, so it's kinda needed, but at the same time I'm afraid of what they will do to it. =(

 

 

Also, dissertation is stressing me out. I've done about 2500 words (or a bit more) since yesterday, which isn't all that much. Progress is so slowwww. Don't feel like I'm getting anywhere. Gah.
