OR; we're all equally able to judge as we're all equally shit. My view on life :p

I got offered that job at the cafe. Had to feign happiness. I just don't want it but I need a job. Ho hum. First two weeks I can leave (or they can get rid of me) as I/they please so hopefully within that space I'll find somewhere better, or at least closer. Start on Saturday.

Went to a nearby shopping centre to hand in a CV at a shop that was advertising online but its gone but found someone else looking so handed it in there. And applied for some other jobs yesterday. Exciting...or not.

Oh well, only 18 weeks until I start my new course.

Since accepting my Kingston offer I feel I need to pack everything now in anticipation.

When you guys left hoem for uni did you take any books with you? I know in some cases it would be really pointless (for example, Chair has to clear his room out every holidays), but I feel the urge to have a concise number of books, my bookshelves in my room are 80% things from when I was a child.

Just been to Ynyslas beach with two of my mates. Great time. We decided to have a BBQ. Sandy burgers are great.

Had an exam in the morning. I think it went well. The first questions I think I've got near full marks. The second one not so sure. I realised after I came out of the exam that I'd done something wrong. But oh well should definitely be good enough to get a decent grade.

I didn't, but I was also in the position of literally buying a bookshelf's worth per semester at some points too, so I'm a little different. as you're doing art, I don't see why not.

I take around 200 books to University, but that's just me being a nerd. Depending on your subject, you can manage on hardly any at all.

You say that as if art doesn't require books :p (Dan. Damn you Grunch!!)

I'd say take what you feel will be needed for the course, any books you haven't read, some of your favourites and a few 'homely' ones (as in ones that make you feel warm just having them nearby).

Been emailed a rota. Pretty sure I can't do Monday as I'll be at SCS (when did the end of May get here?) but need to check that tomorrow. Thankfully the 3rd is their next week as I can't do that too. Two 8ams (about a 5:30 wake up). Ouch :p

I've just got to get myself over me

Yup. Focus on the positive. fun. on Wednesday :D

You won't need to buy any books for your course. Just make sure you can get to the library early in the morning.

I took about 30-50 books with me when I first left for uni, and now I have over 200 accumulated. I'd advise you take books you want other people to read, or a select few of your favourites that you feel reflect your character. You'll meet people and they'll peruse your shelf and offer to lend you any book you ought to read.

Yeah this is what I was thinking. I've made a big pile of all the potentials, including favourites, "art books", things like "student food" or whatever I've never read and all my graphic novels (not that many). I think once I cut away the chaff I'll have a nice balance.

I went to outpatients today to see gastro clinic specialist about my stomach trouble. Got the worse treatment from the nurses (well one in particular) and filed in a complaint form. Cried the whole way home in the car (well over an hour) because I was so upset about it :/

I am filing a complaint following a visit to Whiteabbey Outpatients clinic. I recieved some treatment for the nurses in the outpatient clinic (dr jacob - gastro). One of the nurses in particular behaved in what I felt was a disgusting manner. They were requested, by dr jacob, to take some blood from me. I explained to both nurses that I had bad veins and they could try but they'd be unlikely to get blood from my arms. An elderly nurse tried to find a vein by touching and wasnt sure.. so she checked with her colleague (a younger nurse, maybe in her forties, short dark hair) Her colleague then stuck the needle deep into my arm, i jumped as she stuck it in. No blood came out and she said "that's because you moved, kid" and repeated it several times as if to scold me. The elderly nurse then tried to take my blood from my hand, and comforted me as i was blatently upset. The offending nurse repeated the above comment while she did so. I feel that this was an utterly humilating experience and I feel very reluctant to return back to that clinic after the way I was treated. Not only am I an adult, and not a child, I feel that this kind of problem should be dealt with a lot more tact. Any other nurses I have dealt with (rhematology, dermatology, and GP clinic) have been brilliant and very understanding with this issue. I am very disappointed in the care I recieved today (24/05/10)

I'm just disgusted. I feel so humilated from the experience =(

heh, thanks guys.

Even the other nurse was on my side.. We sat with a curtain pulled around us and she obviously realised i wasn't upset by the pain (ive been needled more times than most) and she said "look i'll shout at her but a patients in" (another patient was in the room behind some other curtain)

So i was a bit reassured at the time that I wasn't being a whinge.. I just have a cry reflex that doesn't come out all that often but when it does its like a torrential monster! hah!

I don't appreciate your condescension. I seem to recall you going on at length about how you got wasted and bagged some dude at a bar. Chill the fuck aht. Besides, there's fuck all do do in London without being sufficiently intoxicated; Its a boring ass city.

Chill? Excuse me? Oh, this is just a strange mixture of pity/dejection. I was merely expressing my opinion.

Also please recall how I went about "at length" about that, I made one sub 100 word post hinting at said activity, at no point did I claim to "bang some dude at a bar". So before you fire off again I suggest you do some research kitten, either that or don't bother at all. I give my own time and effort to help this place and I'd appreciate a little more courtesy.

As well as this; I'm from Hull. Tiger, so there is no way you can make the ludicrous statement that London is boring.

Aside from this, I have a date today with "some dude I banged at a bar". Looking forward to it.

I so completely want this model. Shame that it's around £2000. And the cargo bay is completely wrong.

And to me.

And to me. I'll make sure she receives Volume 1 of Comedy Rainbow on DVD. And I'll mark it "Dirty Dancing". A shock like that could send her into deep depression, which it sounds like she deserves. What a cunt.

Urgh, super crappy start to my day.

Just got two letters. One saying my tuition money hasn't been paid yet this year. We now have 7 days to pay it in. Fucking dad, this is the only thing about my school he has to worry about, and he still messes it up/forgets about it. He has an entire year to pay it and yet every year again he doesn't.

Second letter said I have to go sit in the voting room on June 13, to help there. Basically waste my entire day away, while I should be finishing my master project. I don't have time for this. Now I have to reply in 48 hours and find proof that I don't have time to sit there. >.<;

That sounds a bit ungrateful if he's paying it for you. I had to pay nearly 6k myself for the research masters I'm doing... I wish someone had paid it for me.
