Thought it best to create a thread for the new season, so we can have the two thread running parallel, without anything being ruined for those who are watching their way through Season 1 right now.

Let the thoughts and speculation begin for Heroes: Season 2!

My thought's on episode 1...

Thought it was a fantastic episode! alot went on and it really got it all back into the swing of things.

Was surprised by Peters situation at the end of the episode, his powers seem to have advanced, he's wearing the symbol round his neck, yet he has no idea who he is.

Seems like he's returned from the future (his hair's different, more powers), but it also seemed like this was the first time he couldn't remember who he was!

So if he's been to the future, when did he get back, why doesn't he remember anything, why's he chained up, who chained him up and why in a storage container in Ireland???

Another alternative...

He was found by another 'Hero' after the explosion and he's been trained by this 'hero'. However, that person has now returned Peter back into the real world and in doing so, cleared his memory so Peter wouldn't remember the last few months. But then why can't he seemingly remember anything?!

The rest...

- That won't be the end of Hiro's father!

- I didn't get Nathans reflection? I guess it was the result of the explosion, but why can't it be seen? Or if that was just him remembering it, how did it heal?

- And for that matter, Matt recovered extremly fast didn't he?

- The new guy from Claire's school, WFT another flying character?!

- Oh and the new woman seems to be the new Ted, uncontrollable! But what's her power?!

I thought the same about Nathan's reflection, but still, it was a scarred face so if it was either Nathan or Peter, someone has healed them.

I just really liked the episode. The new woman is pretty cool, what does she do to make people bleed out of their eyes like that. All of them in the van aswell so it must be like a shield effect type power. Effecting people in a certain radius maybe?

I thought Nathans reflection was actually Peter and it was just a way of showing the guilt he has
Oh if it was Peter, then yeah that makes sense.
if it was either Nathan or Peter, someone has healed them.
Well yeah Peter can heal himself, but Nathan wouldn't know whether Peter would have been able to survive the explosion!

Was I the only one who for a minute thought the guy who was with that woman was going to turn into a hulk like character when he got hit in the head with the gun. I think it was just the way the girl was screaming "You dont know what you're doing"
Yeah I thought the same, not neccessarily the hulk! but for a second I thought maybe they had mislead us and it was him who had the power!

Cheers Dante!

I can't quite make it out, who is that shooting the 'electricity' and making someone dissapear? Is it the Irish guy shooting Peter with it?

Also, seems Peter may have been on some sort of journey of discovery (which explains the advanced powers, necklace and shorter hair), however maybe he knew it could be a very dangerous journey/outcome and so prepared himself by creating a box of memories to remind him of himself?!

It looks like Nathan to me, but the hair makes me say Peter.

Yeah actually I think that is supposed to be Peter, if you just look at the far right side and the hair it looks like him.

Originally I thought it was only half the face and therefore showing Nathan got caught in the blast as he flew away.

But yeah look like it might be the whole face and he's thinking about Peter.

The thing that makes it abit ambiguous is both Nathan and the reflection being dressed the same.

Im thinking the box with his identity is going to be one that they have created for him so they can use Peter for their own bidding.

The spoiled Two-Face from "The Dark Knight"... damn.

Really liked the episode, sure there wasn't too much going on but the characters had a nice re-introduction and quite a lot of things were set up already.

I guess the will introduce more new Heroes later on though.

I didn't like it that Peter lost his memory. It feels like such a generic thing to do when characters are "brought back from the dead" and the only reason for it is to keep the us hooked. Well it wouldn't be very exciting if they asked what happened and he could tell it right away.

I'm thinking the two new character's abilities are somehow linked, like when they're together they sort of control each other's power or something...

Hiro's story seems... well a bit pointless at the moment. So he's clearly going to make sure the tales he heard as a kid will still happen. But what else will we learn from his trip to the past? More of the sword and the symbol, I guess...

I enjoyed the episode. Sure, it wasn't OMG OM GOGMOGM everywhere, but it was a nice way to get back into the flow of things, and promises many exciting things. I'm looking forward to meeting the other characters from teh first season too.

I also loved Hiros scenes, he seems to work well with this new guy so I look forward to seeing more of them.

David Anders goes from guest star to series regular in Season 2.

US, August 6, 2007 - TV Guide's Michael Ausiello is reporting that David Anders will be made a regular cast member on Heroes in Season 2. Anders had already been slated for a recurring role as Kensei, the samurai warrior with a connection to Hiro, but Ausiello now confirms with an NBC rep that Anders will be staying on the series beyond his initial story arc. This will be a reunion for Anders and Greg Grunberg (Matt Parkman) - both actors were regulars on Alias.

Looks like the character's here to stay for a while!

Maybe if/when he returns to the present day with Hiro, Kensei will help Hiro save his father.

And we may get to learn how the sword containing Kensei's 'presence' got passed down to Hiro's father.

Was that sword actually Kensei's sword? Is that the sword Hiro has with him now?

That sword wasnt passed down to Sulu though, Hiro got it from Linderman
Oh yeah of course he did!

Although thinking about it now, there's a good chance Linderman got that sword from Hiro's father when their group of heroes disbanded.

I haven't watched all of the movie Serenity, but in it aren't Rivers powers kept under control by having her brothers calming presence around her?

Anyway, even if not, I got the impression that's what was happening with the brother and sister in Heroes, he just helps her stay calmer and therefore more in control.

Nah with Serenity Rivers main psychic powers are just going all the time, her brother keeps her calm but thats mainly because of what was done to her not because of her abilities.

But yeah I agree with you about the brother and sister in Heroes.
