Posted September 13, 2007 I know this sounds stupid but is there any way i can free up more? I now have a laptop and the Hard Drive is alot smaller than my desktop. I have delted alot of videos and music i don't want. Ran Disk Cleanup, done a Defrag and some other stuff but i still want a little more extra fee. I know there is about 2GB in Hibernation files but i need that. Is there any tricks i can do or hidden stuff i can delte to free up some more space? Thanks. Posted September 13, 2007 Onthe disk cleanup you did, did you click on the tab that says "more options" and click on cleap up for the "system restore and shoadow copies"? That gets rids of lots of excess files etc and still keeps the most recent restore points. (System restore is not useless Jordan) That's if you using Vista anyway. Nope, it will keep your most recent restore point still so nothing gets messed up or anything, don't worry. It just gets rid of all the older restore points which take up space. I do this every week or so, sometimes every few days. So if you have any porblems you'll still bebale to restore the pc to a former point, just not one too far back basically.
