The second one.

 

That was just ruled, so much. Hard mode took us about 4 years to complete, although there was some crazy glitch would screwed it up first time for us .

 

They were all awesome though, in their own way.

The second one, which was the first I played. Then the first, then the third, then the fourth, which I was pretty disapointed with. As a game series, though, it's probably the funniest I've ever played.

 

I can't decide whether I prefer Monkey Island or Grim Fandango, though. Now that has one of the best game stories ever, in opinion

Have to say it was 3 for me, the voice acting and the cut scenes just top off the game with some beautiful animation. Classic stuff.

I probably enjoyed the second game the most, followed by the third, then the first, then the fourth which I couldn't be bothered to finish.
