Alien Abduction: The McPherson Tape

Has anyone seen this? I just turned it on about a quarter of the way in but decided to watch it all the way through when its repeated later. Its done in Blair Witch style but obviously with Aliens instead, actually looked really creepy. Just wanted to see if anyone had seen it to get a verdict.

Is this that one set in a cabin in the middle of no where and everyone starts getting affected by them remotely? I've seen it, its damn weird.

The bit I saw had them freaked out during their thanksgiving meal, grabbing shotguns after seeing a flash of something pass the window. It also has pauses during the movie where "specialists" are interviewed.

 

Yeah I saw this ages ago dude, back when I was like Year 8 at school and it scared the shit out of me, made me and all my friends scared of the woods. Back then it was shown like once every 9 months on Sky Movies and being the only kid who taped it was seen as rare, nowadays it seems to be on regular rotation.

 

Anyways, my thoughts back when I first watched it were wow this is freaky and I had a slight feeling it could be real, but I was like 13/14... Just the way it was shot seemed realistic, for example when the girl has that fit and the boys reaction to the encounter in his bedroom seemed too real to be acting. But after seeing it since, it is blatantly obvious that the people giving their insights are paid actors, the aliens are wearing masks (the aliens look different in 3 different scenes for christ sakes), the people are actors (there is credits and ive googled the names and they are in other movies) and this was just a good fake.

 

Regardless, the film did make me scared of entering woodland for a long time

 

Oh yeah I know its fake, ive seen quite a few of the actors in other things, plus the aliens are in the credits lol.

 

Glad other people seem to have seen it, posted this on two other forums and not one reply yet.

Yeah i've seen it. The bit where the alien shadow you see through the netting at the window while they're having dinner kinda scared me.

The scariest part is when the alien takes the camera, and the dude is completely frozen. And the ending of course.

This is one of my all time favourite movies. I watch it whenever its on Sky Movies.

I'm a huge fan of the Blair Witch Project, mainly because of the way it was filmed, it was such a great and original idea! Something similar can't be a bad thing at all imo.
