Games you own more than one copy of...

Recommended Posts

We've all got them, whenever a copy was broken, glitched, or re-released onto another console you had to go buy it again. What game is it, and for what reason?

Personally, I have a fair amount of double games:

Worms Armageddon (PC & Dreamcast) - PC broke

Grandia II (Dreamcast & PS2) - Classic example of not to buy Pirated games!

Final Fantasy XII - Glitched copy

Sonic 2, Sonic 3, Sonic Spinball (MD & Xbox) - Bought Sonic Mega Collection

Half-Life 2 (PC & Xbox) - Came with PC

Skies of Arcadia - I'm not sure if I should count this, what with the GC version having extra content, but, I might as well, it's not a completely different game altogether. I wouldn't say it is like MGS Substance and MGS Subsistence.

I have three copies of Zelda: OOT: N64 original, plus Wind Waker and Collectors Edition.

And in history I have owned FOUR copies of Sonic 1: First one broke, gave second to cousin, bought third copy for MD, and got Sonic Mega Collection for Xbox.

Your turn.

I have two copies of Super Mario 64, N64 version and ds version. I also have Ocarina of time twice N64 and the Master Quest one.

I suppose Pokemon Red and Fire red would count as well as it is the same game just fire red has added bells and whistles.

I traded in Super Mario World and Donkey Kong Country in for sum bizzare reason, when I was a kid, only to buy them back a few weeks later.

I have Ocarina of Time on the WW bonus disk and the CE disk.

Majora's Mask on the N64 and the CE disk. Do not wish to part with my cartridge, even tho I do not have a N64 no more, as it is in gold.

I have the original Mario Bros on the VC, GBA (NES classics) and on the GameBoy Color in Mario Brothers Deluxe.

I've just been looking through my collection and found some more:

Resident Evil Zero - First copy stopped working

Resident Evil: Code Veronica (DC & GC) - DC version is a pirated copy, but planned to get CV on Gamecube anyway.

Wind Waker - My brother foolishly snapped the first copy in half when it stopped working, so he had to fork out for another.

Super Mario Bros 2 - but not on its own. As it's on Super Mario Advance and Super Mario All-Stars.

Hmmm, off the top of my head:

Zelda: Ocarina o' Time - N64 and Wind Waker bonus disc.

Donkey Kong Country 3: Dixie Kongs Double Trouble - Snes and GBA. (And VC when it comes to it, best game ever!!)

Super Mario 64 - N64 and DS.

And that could be it.

We have 2 Mario64's and 2 Mariokart64's for some reason.

I guess mario64 on the ds counts kinda, but it's really quite different. So that's 3 mario64's.

We also have two "the new tetris"'s on the N64 too.

And of course, OoT64 and the MasterQuest disc.

Oh and Simpsons Hit&Run on the playstation and gamecube, I'm not sure why my mum bought it again :P

And I bought lylat wars on the vc because some kid broke my original cart (after finally getting all the medals!)

When you say "we" do you mean your family or is your forum account used by two people.

Just Golden Sun. The Japanse version, closely after its release, because I wanted a seemingly good RPG to accompany my new imported GBA (which at that time had just been released here). Good example of my instinct being spot on ;). But it took me years to finally buy an English copy, after the game had already disappeared from shops..

Well, and the original Metroid. Both emulated on the Metroid games they came on, I forgot which they were though.. Prime 1 and Zero Mission?

I am a bit of a games hoarder and have got loads of games across multiple platforms - I try not to do it but curiosity about how a particular game will look on a different console (especially if a game is ported to a more powerful console) always gets the better of me!

I have:

Resident Evil (PSOne/Saturn/Cube - although in some ways its practically an entirely new game)

Resident Evil 2 (PSOne/Dreamcast/Cube)

Resident Evil 3 (PSOne/Dreamcast/Cube)

Resident Evil CODE: Veronica (Dreamcast/GameCube)

Resident Evil 4 (Cube/Wii)

Tomb Raider (Saturn/PSOne/PC)

Tomb Raider II (PC/PSOne)

Tomb Raider III (PC/PSOne)

Tomb Raider: The Last Revelation (PSOne/Dreamcast)

Tomb Raider Legend (360/Cube)

Splinter Cell (Xbox/Cube)

Splinter Cell: Pandora Tomorrow (Xbox/Cube)

Splinter Cell: Chaos Theory (Xbox/Cube)

Splinter Cell: Double Agent (Xbox/Cube/360)

Prince of Perdia: The Sands of Time (Xbox/Cube)

Prince of Persia: Warrior Within (Xbox/Cube)

Shenmue II (Dreamcast/Xbox)

Street Fighter III: Double Impact/W Impact (PAL & NTSC-J)

Street Fighter Alpha 3 (Dreamcast/PSOne)

-I think that's it LOL. I think I have a problem....
