Konfucius
I hope this wasn't posted before, came across it on several sites already. There is a video for Ubisoft's "games for everyone" where they are manipulating a 3d hologram with something like a Wiimote. Most likely they're just teasing us but still, one can dream... Check it out
Retro_Link
Most likely they're just teasing us but still, one can dream...Or better still... "on can dream!" Just checked it out, cool video! There's another one for the DS in the sidebar of that video; Ubisoft certainly seem very Nintendo focused!
Patch
"Nintendo On" . . . Can Dream. Sorry.
Konfucius
Or better still... "on can dream!" Took me a moment to notice it. Seems my subconsciousness was at work there or because I was in a hurry when I posted that. Could some Mod or Admin please change this? Now that I have more time, I guess I'll add a few thoughts myself. Some weeks ago I read about how much Ninty invests in R&D and then I asked myself, where did the money go for the Wii? I mean the processor and graphics card are both close to GC architecture and the Wiimote was planned as a GC add-on. Now I have no idea how much the development of the Wii actually cost but I assumed that the most expensive parts to develop would be the processors... And then I had to think again about the comments by George Lucas and Robert Rodriguez which said something about actual 3D technology that would be present in one of the next gen consoles. And now this video of Ubisoft... But that's just the conspiracy part of me. Then there's the reasonable part who knows that the Wii won't see any dramatic changes and at best we'll see something like this 2 or 3 console generations from now. If anything was to bring Stocka out of retirement it wud be a post like that! Didn't you know the Wii has hologram and virtual headset components built into it, yeah, they're real, Nintendo are just biding their time!
