Konfucius
I have a Thinkpad T60p. Normally it runs fine but the last few days it randomly went into stand-by mode when gaming. I'm quite sure I didn't press any button or is there a combination to go into stand-by immediately? It pretty much happened like this: I was playing Counter-Strike Source with a friend, we were on voice-chat. Suddenly I couldn't move anymore ingame and a moment later there was the preparing for stand-by notification on screen. I immediately resurrected it from stand-by and could play on as if nothing had happened. I was even connected to my friend. About 20 minutes later it happened again though. Do any of you know what the reason for this could be? I was suspecting overheating and therefore installed EVEREST, however, it doesn't tell me the temperature of my graphics card. My system is about 64°C currently and both Cores are clocked at maximum. And do any of you know a good program to monitor the temperature? Many thanks in advance. Guest Jordan
Use the program Speed Fan, that'll tell you if it over heats.
Konfucius
Use the program Speed Fan, that'll tell you if it over heats. Already tried that but somehow I couldn't do anything there or am I not supposed to? I tried tpfancontrol as well and the GPU was at 80°C. Not too healthy I guess. But what I also wanted to know. Do systems have the habit to go into stand-by when they overheat?
Marshmellow
When mine overheated, it just turned off altogether.
