EA a bit quiet over some of 2008 lineup?

Is it just me, or does anyone else find it a bit strange that Madden 08 and Tiger Woods 08 are meant to be released in two months time, and yet we know pretty much nothing about them?

EA surely can't be holding back until E3 can they, given that would probably be less that a month from release?

Madden 08:

- Exhibition match-ups

- Online lobby with real-time leaderboards

- EA Locker features

- EA “My Profile” when online, which includes country of origin, win/loss record, defensive percentage, overall ranking, and 5-star

reputation score

- ESPN ticker updates

- Promised downloadable content such as roster updates planned for late 2008, early 2009

- Friend Code Implementation: Unknown as of right now, interface will be similar from other versions. Wii players will be able to

randomly play against an opponent.

- No voice chat, but will offer EA’s instant-messaging system

- Offline: 22-mini-game party mode, which allow players to play new drills such as the 40-yard dash. Also includes a football-trivia

mini-game. Your performance in party mode will also affect your party mode rating, which can go as high as 99. This rating is recorded via your system’s own Mii roster.

Tiger Woods 08 - Well, The Wii version of 07 is selling well, so they probably don't want to detract from that.

NBA Live 08 - They seem a bit quiet about this.

Shame I'm not really bothered about Madden, as there seems to be more news about that around. Only seen a 360/PS3 preview of TW.

Main things on my wishlist for TW08? Power bar, fix swing, online play. In that order.

if madden doesnt use friend codes and the 08 range is goin to be online, does that mean titles like tiger woods are not gone to have friend codes

I would ASSUME that since it is going to use the EA Persona thing , it is likely that that ID will stretch across the whole EA range , it would be a bit stupid not to do it like that.

Out of interest , does anyone know why us NHL fans are getting shafted on Nintendo consoles. I miss my NHL action and Strikers* has proved that it could work.

* I use Strikers as an example because the game plays out more like hockey than football.

Anyone have any experience of the EA matchmaking tool or whatever it is? Easy to use hard to use etc?

I agree about NHL especially considering the new fifa viewpoint is just like oldschool nhl games! I would have thought nhl would be easier to bring to the wii than fifa tbh.

It's a shame that there's only about 3 distinct models in the crowd, hopefully it's just an early build. I wonder how the controls will be, could have potential I guess.

Don't forget the cardboard cutout bored cheerleader clones on the first picture
