One of my friend's cousins has come out the closet recently too, but he (my friend) and his cousin's parents (and most of his family, for that matter) are very strict evangelist Christians, so it's a tad controversial, to say the least... The cousin, unsurprisingly, isn't a Christian. I can understand not wanting to belong to a group that says for you to physically love someone is horrifically evil.
