Will this just be a rebranding of the Adventurer's LEGO, then?

edit:

Indeed that would be awesome, They made some batman lego too, wonder if they will make any games with that?

A Batman LEGO game has been confirmed, IIRC. It'll be on most consoles, inlcuding Wii.

There should be a Lego Harry Potter/Spiderman any moment now...

Harry Potter - I think there already is one.

Spider-Man - Won't happen. Mega Blocks own the Spider-man license.

Jurassic Park lego would have been cool...though theres a new Jurassic Park coming out next year i believe...so it could still happen.

Check Adventurers lego - It's The Mummy, Indiana Jones and Jurassic Park (Plus a few more) all bundled into one kind of LEGO.

I don't understand the fascination with these Lego games. They're just ordinary videogames with stupid Lego gimmicks like YOU CAN SWITCH HEADS or THEY FALL APART WHEN THEY DIE. The games themselves don't seem anything special, either.

Exactly, thus the genius and the joy behind the games. Plus the characters say things in silly ways and there are continual in-jokes about how they're risking death, yet they're made out of plastic and technically immortal...

Basically, it makes you feel like a kid again, while still allowing you to feel somewhat grown up.

And I pray that a Lego: Harry Potter DOESN'T happen. It would ruin the Lego franchise.

Well, Lego Star Wars was bought for me as a gift (I wouldnt have bought it) and I have to say I found it very enjoyable with plenty of unlockables, secrets and other bits and a good dollop of worthwhile gameplay...Add to that the great way the game manages to parody the film and it couldnt do no wrong imho.

The 'stupid Lego gimmicks' were really just an additional extra to the game.
