fatnickc
I got Strikers on Saturday, and I've really fallen further in love with my Wii. Single player isn't great, but I've spent far too much time playing online. Would I buy a Wii for that? No. I wouldn't have bought one just for any of the 8 or so games I own for it. I am very happy with my purchase, however, because I can honestly say that, unlike with my GameCube, and somewhat like with my DS, I can always pick from my Wii collection, clichéd as it may be, a game that really does suit my mood. Shorty
I have a Wii but I'm almost in the same boat. I bought Zelda because I'm a big fan, the dated graphics didn't bother me. Other than that nothing has scored over 9, so I haven't picked anything else up. Although I will sometimes dip into the 8-zone, nothing there has grabbed my attention. (Sonic and SSX briefly did, but not enough to warrant purchase). On the whole my Wii is easily my worst purchase in the last year or two. I don't even play the sports games much anymore. Personally I think Nintendo have messed up, they need to get some killer apps out there right now.

gaggle64
I love my Wii. Love the thing to absolute bits. I'm still playing Wii sports nearly six months down the line. The controls for Madden really bring something to the game and I just keep going back to that too. I haven't even completed Zelda yet because of the glory that is Heatseker and Excitetruck have been taking up all my time. Madden, Heatseeker, Wii Sports and Excitetruck. All games that simply wouldn't be (or, indeed, aren't) as fun on any other console. With the releases of games such as MP3 and BW2 fast approaching and gems like Eledees and Rabbids not even sampled yet, my Wii is fast becoming an incresingly rich source of juicy gaming and first rate entertainment. Also the VC is really coming to it's own. Sure we'd all like new content, but there are so many retro delights I've never tried on there (Kirby, Gunstar, Streets of Rage) it's pretty much as good as for me. Glory to the Nintendo Wii! Excelle
Apart from a second hand Megadrive I've got in the cupboard, the Wii is my first 'proper' console, and I picked it up about a month ago. I consider myself a core gamer (as they like to call us these days), just on the PC and prior computers (Amiga, Spectrum). I am in no way short of games to play: Wii: Twilight Princess (please do not miss out on the magic of this - it's fantastic), Sonic, Monkey Ball, Wii Sports, Mario Strikers GCN: Zelda Windwaker/OoT pack, Burnout 2, Monkey Ball 2, Paper Mario, Soul Caliber II, FIFA 07 VC: Super Mario Bros, Mario 64, Dr Robotniks Mean Bean Machine, Super Castlevania IV, Zelda: A Link To The Past Quite when I'll get chance to play all these, I don't know. But I'm looking forward to Super Paper Mario (Thousand Year Door on the GCN is awesome!), BWii, SSBB, SMG and maybe Tiger Woods 08 if they get it right! Not to mention that I want to pick up Excite Truck and Rayman Raving Rabbids having played them around a friend's, and Eledees as well, which looks great fun! I would not give back my Wii for any money - I play something on it nearly every day! I've got games on my PC that are getting neglected because of it! Emasher
i think zelda and excite truck were the best games yet with rayman sonic and wii sports coming up next. some games have just been boring though like the multiplayer mode in sonic and wii play i think late july or early august would be the best time to buy a wii because lots of people after that are going to be after them for the big guns. raven_blade2006
At E3 you can expect many 'real' games to be unveiled.
Hero-of-Time
I can see where you are coming from with this but as it has been mentioned there are already a number of great games out for the Wii people just have to open their mind a little. Wii Sports: Simple yet effective. Its great for multiplayer gaming and I tend to put it on every now and then when I want a quick game to play. Wario Ware: Same as Wii Sports in that its simple but also hilarious to play. Zelda TP: An outstanding game that every Nintendo fan should play. It will draw you in despite a few negative points. Sonic: Although I havent finished this yet ( too many gams to play ) it really is the best 3D Sonic game out there and it should be the same system they use for the rest of the series. Excite Truck: Im not big on serious racing games so is totally my kind of thing. Its a game which pushes you to be better all the time and is simply a blast to play. Oh and no the music doesnt suck despite what people say Eledees: An overlooked game but one that is full of charm and has MASSIVE replay value. I think I have clocked around 20 odd hours on it and I still havent unlocked everything. Mario Strikers Charged: The newest must have game from Nintendo is mazza footy. You just have to read the various threads on here and the Online board to see what an amazing game this is both on and offline. Those are the titles that are out now which I think are great to play and with more to come such as R Evil 4 and Manhunt very soon I am well happy with my Wii purchase. Thats not even mentioning the VC which is a great addition for any gamer. I have spent quite abit of cash on the VC and lets be honest its hard not to when there are titles such as Mario 64, Zelda OOT, Zelda LTTP, Donkey Kong Country 1+2, Streets of Rage, Mario Kart 64, Lylat Wars, Super Mario World, Kid Icarus, Kirby, Golden Axe, Toe Jam and Earl and many others. Hellfire
I also like Wii Play, Rayman and Red Steel. And possibly Godfather and DBZ. Which is a shitload of games considering the time it's been out. But people just want "ZOMG AAA EPIC HD HDR A GAZILLION SIDEQUESTS BALD SPACE MARINES SPARKS 10/10" games.

Hellfire
Congrats on making me laugh I aim to please. Also, Shorty, I'm disapointed in you, I didn't think you were the kind of guy to put so much faith in reviews. Ah well, you still rock :P
4q2
Dont you just go around hitting things with a hammer? It sounds like they are just designing a game around a way to use the Wii remote, rather than starting off with an idea for a great game. Hitting things with a large hammer sounds like a perfect concept for a great game imho, but personally Im awaiting a version of virtual seal clubbing. DCK
But people just want "ZOMG AAA EPIC HD HDR A GAZILLION SIDEQUESTS BALD SPACE MARINES SPARKS 10/10" games. True, but still. I don't want 'just' those games, but more would be nice, wouldn't it?
Kurtle Squad
To me; the Wii's starting to get the Magic of the Cube. With Strikers, Excite Truck, Red Steel; there's a nice balance of genres (though a bit too many minigames maybe). Wii Play n Sports are also fun, the pointer works great. GET A Wii
Hellfire
True, but still. I don't want 'just' those games, but more would be nice, wouldn't it? Yeah, but that's the basis of competition. No one offers it all.
