Haze

It's wierd I would of thought Ubisoft would want it on all platforms. There all rumours of a PS3 exclusive however it might just be a timed exclusive. But if you ask me that is better for Ubisoft, Haze would be coming out right at the same time as Halo so it means they might get more sales after it in 2008.

Sexy, but whats this crap about it not being announced for the 360!?

I think Ubisoft are "pulling an Assassin's Creed" and claiming it to be an exclusive. However, I wouldn't be surprised if the PS3 does get the game first simply because, as Calza said, going up against Halo 3 isn't a very good way to garner sales.

Free Radical still seem to think it's coming to the 360, and I know who I believe.

Yep looks like for 2007 HAze will only be on PS3.

Looks ace. Apart from those suits. Eww.

Fact sheet:

Haze™, the new AAA shooter from Ubisoft and Free Radical, puts players in the boots of a new recruit in the privately run Mantel army.

Set in the year 2048 in a world where Governments have outsourced military operations to Private Military Corporations (PMC), you play a newly enlisted soldier seeking fulfillment and thrills by fighting for a good cause.

As the leading PMC, Mantel Global Industries offers a high-tech arsenal of vehicles, deadly weaponry, and on top of that a performance enhancing bio-medical support known as Nectar. As a result, Mantel troopers are the most feared by terrorists, dictators, and the corporation’s political enemies.

Your conflict begins in a war-torn country where you have been sent to fight a vicious rebel faction, the Promise Hand. At first glance, all is well, but things quickly begin to look a little strange…

Key Features

* Impeccable FPS credentials: from the developers of the critically-acclaimed TimeSplitters® series and the publishers of Far Cry® and Ghost Recon® Advanced Warfighter™. Free Radical and Ubisoft have proven their ability to create innovative platform-defining FPS titles.

* Become a Mantel Trooper and fight the merciless guerrillas of the Promise Hand with the most advanced gear, the fastest vehicles, the deadliest weapons – and Nectar, Mantel’s battlefield-optimized performance-enhancing medication.

* Boost your fighting abilities with Nectar, empowering Mantel troopers with fighting abilities such as Nectar Focus, Nectar Foresight, Nectar Perception and Melee Blast. Using these skills, troopers are able to detect and avoid imminent danger as well as deliver powerful attacks in close quarters.

* Mature and compelling storyline. A tightly integrated storyline makes Haze an immersive narrative experience as well as a cutting-edge shooter.

* Cutting edge gaming technology featuring the Disparity Rendering System™ shaping the players’ views of the world on and off Nectar. Haze also features an entirely streamed experience with no loading times between levels.

* State of the art multiplayer modes. Fire up your console for online battles and choose from a variety of online modes including furious 4 player co-op action!

Interestingly, the press release is listed under PS3, 360 and PC.

It better come to the 360, i can't really see any reason why Free Radical would suddenly release an exclusive game unless they were getting a back hander, sorry, exclusivity deal.

I'll call an Assasin's Creed on this. Although it might be a time thing like GTA on XBOX.

Free Radical clearly want it out on the 360, Ubi might be recieving backhanders not to though.

Devs know multiplatform means more install base to sell to, more profit.

I thought Assasins Creed was coming out on all consoles at the same time, September isn't it?

Didn't think there had been any talk of it being an exclusive or timed exclusive.

If anything I thought 360 might get it a little bit before PS3.

the trailer gametrailers has up is that in game graphics or pre-rendered?

looks ace, might have to buy a 360 for all those game i'm missing out on

Well the First-Person parts of the trailer certainly look near identicle to screen shots.

Also,

One cool thing about the game's presentation on a whole is that aside from the initial load screen, you'll never be out of control of your character. You'll never come across a separate load screen, you'll never be ripped out of your view and be forced to watch a pre-canned cutscene or anything of that nature. Indeed, Free Radical is taking a cue from both the streaming tech that we've seen in many games these days as well as Valve's "always in control" work in the Half-Life series and the promised result is a seamless and completely immersive experience.

So it's likely the game just uses the in-game graphics engine throughout, except for maybe an Intro and End movie.

No no, I mean't 'doing an Assasins Creed' by repeatedly claiming an exclusive when everybody knew it was 360 too. GTA was a timed exclusive if I remember correctly.

Third party exclusives are a rarity now. They don't make business sense.
