david.dakota
Taking a look around Nintendo's Wii portal, it seems we're in for the Freindcode to return: Nintendo Wi-Fi Connection is a free service offered by Nintendo, allowing you to play with other Nintendo fans over the Internet. Easy - meaning no specialist knowledge is required, Free - you only pay your normal internet connection charges, and Safe - you play with people you know by swapping Friend Codes. To take advantage of this service, all you need is access to a wireless Internet connection and a game compatible with the ser Thats taken from http://wiiportal.nintendo-europe.com/12365.html
ViPeR
I'd put up with friend codes if there was a decent service to actually use. Maybe it'll improve with Wii but who knows. I don't consider sitting and waiting for an age for people to 'connect' to one another a worthwhile use of my time.
Hellfire
If there was a friend code channel or something to trade with the guys that are on your adress book, it'd be nice. Just as long as the online games work well, I'm cool.
Cube
The codes could be Mii-Related, not Game-Related.

DCK
We knew there were going to be Friend Codes beside the System Code, but they're not game specific.
Mike
We knew there were going to be Friend Codes beside the System Code, but they're not game specific. We know that each Mii has its own code in Strikers Charged, but I don't think we'll know if each Mii keeps its own code in all games until two online titles are out. I'm not holding my breath, to be honest.

I'm not holding my breath, to be honest. Well, the Japanese game Pachinko uses Mii's for it's online system, so that's promising (it's 3rd party, too). Pokemon was probably done before they made the Mii Online System.

mcj metroid
The codes could be Mii-Related, not Game-Related. yes you seem to have that theory. it's a great idea though i do hope your right. it seems logical to use the miis on-line
Kav
If it is the case that we will have "Mii-codes" I think it'd be good if you could see these codes in Mii Plaza when other Mii's wander around on your system!

Excelle
plus mario strikers will be region locked when it comes to online multi-player. it sucks big time!! Not really - I have no desire to play Americans with a ping of 200ms+
Charlie
It doesn't have an American release date yet, so even if it isn't locked, you still won't be able to play them.
steggy
It's only region locked on random games, if you have an american friend you can still play against him with his "Mii-Code." http://gonintendo.com/?p=17257
