Posted May 2, 2007 You serious? There the best CPU cooler money can buy... Totally, I have one myself. There's some Zalman's and the Scythe Ninja that I've heard proove to be more worthy than the FP7. Still, it is definitely one of the best for what you spend, and also a great cooler regardless. So it does still get a thumbs up from me, and it's miles better than the boxed in retail coolers from Intel. Also hear good things about the Noctua being damn quiet..............then again, your case can also have an effect on how noise is distributed. You have a damn fit set-up though Caris. Posted May 10, 2007 Not the best picture in the world but here it is: Specs if your interested: Opteron 165 1 Gig Mushkin Ram 7900GS 160GB HDD (now with a 500GB as well) Lian Li PC60 Watercooling: Alphacool NexXxos XP (gold plated) Alphacool Mosfet Cooler Alphacool NB cooler Alphacool GPU cooler RamPlex cooler AquaDrive HDD cooler Aquastream pump AquaTube 120mm Rad The only thing that isn't watercooled is the Zalman PSU. It's not audible in any way when idle, even in a silent room. The HDD does make some sound when accessed though
Posted May 10, 2007 My beast: Bit dusty, it lives on the floor instead of on my desk these days and I think sitting or carpet makes the dust worse.
Posted May 11, 2007 heres an update on mine.. EDIT: I had *fun* fitting these. They are actually on backwards, was trying to keep some of the excess cabling away at the back. I have a fan at the back, tried to fit both of the fans, but no room.

Posted May 12, 2007 Wow thats a lot of cooling! What do those small thin green cords do? the wee small cables - i think they earth the enclosures. I *think* they help with static and whatnot. I've put a scary amount of money towards this machine, its rather sad, but i still love it I agree jordan, you can never have too much cooling. Well until your power supply packs it in
Posted June 6, 2007 Is it really powerful? Nope. Have I made it really tidy? Nope. But it's the first I've built, so I love it.
