The only stuttering I see is in the bike section, for example, he's fighting multiple enemies and there's no stuttering at all.

It looks choppy throughout, although as has already been said, it's from an early build and will most likely be fine once the final version is out.

Do you really need to have a go at everyone who doesn't blindly follow Nintendo?

ffs this isn't even a Nintendo game! Am I having a go at anyone? I just don't think the framerate looks bad at all? Is that a problem?

XIII is one of the top shooters I think.

That game was a surprise to me. Bought it for a tenner to fill a few hours of boredom and really enjoyed it.

Regarding NMH, if it comes close to touching the greatness of Killer7 I will be a v.happy person.

Suda51 Interview

Grasshopper main man Koichi 'Suda 51' Suda talks to CVG about No More Heroes on Wii and his secretive collaboration with Metal Gear mastermind Hideo Kojima.

No More Heroes on Wii is coming along nicely and is among our most wanted games on the platform. Just in case there's a slight chance that you don't know what we're on about, we recommend you take a look at this movie as soon as possible.

To fins out a bit more about what's going on behind the scenes, we caught up with 'Suda 51for an update.

You're working with Hideo Kojima on Project S. As two of Japan's most prominent game directors, where do you feel your approach to game design differs from that of Kojima?

Suda 51: Kojima is well known throughout the world as a Director and he receives high evaluation marks. I can't compare me with him because his existence is both close to me and far from me.

We saw the new No More Heroes trailer at GDC, which looks fantastic, by the way. We have to say. Is the game any closer to completion?

Suda 51: Thanks. It's currently at a development stage of 70 percent to completion.

The fighting mechanic looks really smooth -- how does the Wii Remote integrate with that?

Suda 51: Basically, you attack the enemy by pressing the A button. The finishing blow is administered with a shake of the Wii controller.

We also saw some vehicle action in the new trailer. Will those sections be tied in with the gameplay like GTA?

Suda 51: Travis only rides on his favourite motorcycle, the 'Schpel Tiger'. Primarily, he uses the 'Schpel Tiger' as his transportation in the game.

Is there any chance of online play in No More Heroes? Is that something you're interested in?

Suda 51: This is still up in air. Personally, I am very interested in online play. I want to undertake an online game once the No More Heroes project is completed.

Your games, particularly Killer 7 and No More Heroes, have a very unique visual style. Where do you get your inspiration from?

Suda 51: Killer 7 managed to put across freedom and totally new ideas, without tying up my own sense with something that I got from various genres. No More Heroes is heavily influenced by American New Cinema - particularly El Topo, which is directed by Jodorowsky. I love movies. I always draw my inspiration from movies.

Once No More Heroes is out the door, you've said you'll work on an Xbox 360 project. Does that have a name yet?

Suda 51: This is still confidential. Please wait a little longer to hear about this.

Finally, do you have any plans for a sequel to Contact? What's the latest on that?

Suda 51: I am not sure whether it will happen. Contact is directed by Akira Ueda, who recently established a company called Audio. I hope that Audio produces a sequel someday, but it won't be anything to do with Grasshopper Manufacture. Fans of Contact should send their wishes to Marvelous Interactive.

We might just do that. Thanks for your time.
