Posted February 25, 2007 TBH it was a really good laugh and I really didn't care about what would happened as long as we would stick to that thread, which was very black to begin with. In my opinion most members thought like this and it wasn't their intent to be an ass to the admins or mods. I pretty much agree with that post. I'm not trying to justify my part in the spamming last night. But for those involved everyone agrees it was a lot of fun. The people that weren't involved saying we were "ruining it" haven't seen the thread, and they were not a part of the histerity(sp?). We ruined nothing, it was confined to one thread (for the most part). it wasn't exactly a giant clean-up operation. I understand i am probably quite hated now (mainly by mods and admins). Which is part of the reason i am leaving when all this dies down, but there's been a bad atmosphere in these forums lately. Also, bad atmosphere is just because there's people around who go and bash other people for no good reason. So you don't like THE ganondorf and motion and who knows who else, but does that mean you (not you in particular but other members too) have to go around insulting them and talking bad about them everywhere? Just gets annoying and contributes to this so called bad atmosphere. Just leave them alone. Also, the people who got banned probably deserved it (I'm amazed not more got (temporarily) banned). Posted February 25, 2007 I wasn't on last night, but I came on this morning and saw some of the stuff in the meaningless post thread. After that I actually hoped something like this would happen. They fucked up, big time, and deserved what they got. It's about time some people got made examples of, as people take advantage of the fact that the mods and admins aren't actually uber-Nazi's like most forum mods are. It wasn't as bad when the disgusting stuff was only in the original thread, it could be cleaned up, and people who didn't want to see didn't have to. Some grotesque stuff was posted, but it was the heat of the moment. The punishments fit the crimes. But I still stand by what I said in my first post in this thread. I don't want to start another fight, but you're right. From what I understand, none of this would have happened if motion had kept his mouth shut. I propose a new rule: Unless it is praising/supporting them (ie when Mr Odwin had a baby, or rather his wife/partner did), never start a thread targeted at a specific member.
