Posted December 13, 2006 It'll be a rare occurance that we see updates, and i'm not sure this is a thread you or someone else will trawl the forums for. When an update occurs (likely later this month with News and Internet Channels), you'll know. I'm betting Nintendo sent you a Wii-mail to tell you!
Posted December 13, 2006 yeah this thread is pretty useless. they will tell you themselves. and the vc gets updated every friday.

Posted December 13, 2006 ARE YOU KIDDING? This is nintendo europe we are talking about. No need to shout at me, that was my point. Considering there are different firmwares for Euro, NA, and Jap Wii's. (2.0E, 2.0A, 2.0J)

Posted December 13, 2006 I think it's a great thread. If there's going to be another update which fucks your Wii up, this'll be a nice place to read about it. So, before you update be sure to look here first!
Posted December 13, 2006 It's good for people who don't have Connect 24 on all the time, who can turn it on just for the update.

Posted December 13, 2006 Who is doing Europe (or more specifically: the UK's) News Channel? I hope like hell it's the BBC, as apposed to something shite like Sky or CNN.
Posted December 13, 2006 I hate the BBC. Whenever they talk about Wii and make a positive remark they always follow it up with some snide, Sony philating, remark.... e.g. 'There is a disappointingly limited range of options for each sport - just one course for golf, no variation in the bowling or baseball games and only a few rounds of action in the boxing.' IT'S FREE FOR F&%KS Sake...There are better examples but Ill be damned if I look for them!
Posted December 13, 2006 BBC news is excellent. We are getting Assosciated Press, I believe. A good choice.
