Chances are the emulation team have got the .rom running already just for testing purposes (and their own office matches) literally it would be so easy. Posted December 1, 2006 It wouldn't even be difficult to pull off and the fee would easily justify it. It would be difficult to pull without any syncing problems / ping problems that Kaillera has. Just sending keyboard commands via net is piss poor way to do online playing, as even minimal lag will ruin your movements. Only proper way to do online would be port whole game from the scratch to Wii, instead of emulating the title. And even porting isn't possible in many cases, because source code has started to rot* or there is no copies left due accidents, poor backuping, etc. * Rotting means that code is so old that it's getting hard to understand how it worked on the first place, and what those custom made functions / classes did do. Posted December 1, 2006 Surpise, a firmware upgrade with a free Virtual console game and reduced loading times as the loading times for the Wiis current interface aren't impressive at all, were almost getting to Sony territory here with loading times. Posted December 1, 2006 Now that Sony own the movie rights to Bond (through Columbia Tristar) don't they have influence? I mean if Sony owns Bond then surely they'll do anything to keep it from Nintendo. Could the Bond license get anymore complicated? Sony have the distribution rights of Casino Royale, the Bond License for the games is completely different. Basically you have a game developed by Rare, published by Nintendo with Activision currently holding the rights to bond games, its only Rare (read: Micro$oft) that will have a problem with the VC game. I am sure activision wont care all that much about it. Edited to add: The reason why i dont think Activision would have a problem is because the game is not in direct competition to any of their bond games. I doubt many people would not buy the game for 40 bucks just because they can get an 8 year older version for 10. Goldeneye was such an awesome game though, so awesome.
