  1. Nokia N95 8gb GPS charges?

I thought there was a charge for the A-GPS? Not sure about that though.
  2. Exam Results 2008!

Woohoo! I got my results!! Got an A in Intermediate 2 Maths, English and Latin and I got 1s in Standard Grade Physics, Computing and Drama! Couldn't be happier really!
  3. Two Routers?

You can buy routers which are just routers and don't have an ADSL/Cable modem built in. You could perhaps use a router with a modem built in and then connect a router without a modem to the modem router and put the non modem router into the DMZ. I'm not sure why this would be useful though ^.^
  4. Mobile Phone Chat

You weren't impressed with the K800's camera? I'm surprised, I was really impressed with mine! Although I'm getting an iPhone on Friday (to replace an N95 which replaced a K800) so I'm gonna just start carrying my Samsung camera with me, which is surprisingly good except from the fact I've had to start using Lithium batteries with it because regular alkaline batteries last only about 20 pictures with this camera.
  5. ISP reccomendations?

Just requested my MAC from Orange, hoping it will arrive on Friday so I can sign up to O2 and get my £5 discount from my new iPhone contract
  6. Mobile Phone Chat

I'll be at the O2 store bright and early on the 11th :awesome:
  7. Where do you go for wallpaper?

Deviantart.com is good. flickr.com can be good too sometimes.
  8. Mobile Phone Chat

Hey people, just wondering if anyone knows how good O2's 3G network is? I'm on 3 right now and it's network seems reasonably fast, just wondering how O2 compares? <lie> I'm not asking in relation to a particular 'Jesus Phone' by the way... </lie>
  9. Hey people. I've been thinking about getting a job for a while now and since the summer holidays are coming up I thought now would be the best time to try and get one. I had a job interview at a coffee shop a few weeks ago but and I think the main problem they had with me was I was 16 and therefore inexperienced. Anyone know anywhere that's not too bothered about (younger) age? I've already applied to Asda and I have application forms for WHSmith, Woolworths, Morissons, the Co-op and Zavvi. Anyone got any other recommendations or tips?
  10. Where can a 16 year old get a job?

Thanks for all your suggestions so far people Not yet, I was going to try Starbucks and Costa and Cafe Nero, though
  11. New Wii Update 3.3

All they're doing is pissing off their users. Not a good tactic.
  12. ISP reccomendations?

I've recommended Be to quite a few people recently and they've all had great success with them. If you're in a Be area then you should look into signing up for either Be or O2. They both use the same network, the main differences are O2 are cheaper if you have an O2 mobile, and Be's call centre is in Bulgaria whereas O2's is in the UK. The main advantage of Be/O2 is they use ADSL2+ so you'll definitely get faster speeds (upto 24mbps) than your current ADSL provider unless you are *very* far away from the exchange. That's assuming talktalk haven't already moved to ADSL2+, I think some of the ISPs are doing that just now but keeping the maximum speed at 8mbps.
  13. WWDC '08

No, it does have GPS and Assisted-GPS, same as the N95. It uses the A-GPS to speed up the initial time it takes to get signal from the GPS satellites. I'll be buying an iPhone if the 16GB one is a reasonable price on PAYG and it has a reasonably priced unlimited data bolt-on. Keep an eye on eBay for my N95 and iPod Touch
  14. Mobile Phone Chat

Oh man. The iPhone 3G is cool. In the past I may have thought the iPhone 2G was crap and I still think it was too much money for too little. But the iPhone 3G just looks like it's tremendous value! I might be selling my iPod Touch and N95 on eBay soon
  15. Basically you download something like Ubuntu then go to Applications > Accessories > Terminal and type those commands in. Easy peasy.
  16. Mobile Phone Chat

Most of that stuff would *probably* be fixed in a firmware update. As for the 3G, as far as I know the N95-1 and N95-2 both lack US 3G support, hence the need for the N95-3 and N95-4 for the US market. And also, how did your screen replacement go?
  17. Anyone got a Dell m1330?

Hey people, planning on replacing the Macbook soon. Right now the Dell m1330 is looking like a pretty ideal machine. Anyone got any experience with this laptop? Anyone seen it in real life? Is it really as pretty as it looks online? Also, if anyone has any suggestions for a different laptop with a 13.3" screen then I'd appreciate knowing your opinions. I really like the 13.3" form factor, 15.4" laptops always seem a bit too big but if anyone's got any suggestions for a bigger or smaller laptop I might check it out :-) Thanks in advanced, Jack EDIT: If you've not seen the m1330, this is it http://www.trustedreviews.com/notebooks/review/2007/10/11/Dell-XPS-M1330/p1
  18. Anyone got a Dell m1330?

Ah I also meant to ask how do you find the size of the trackpad? I heard it was quite small?
  19. Updating my CPU

I beg to differ, a fan would only be there if it was important ;-) For example the fan on the PSU on my PC died a while ago and you would not believe the smell of burning plastic that come from my computer. Make sure *all* fans are working, it's a safety thing as much as a performance thing.
  20. Anyone got a Dell m1330?

    Hows the build quality?
  21. Eurovision

Man I'm hooked on Bosnia and Herzegovina's song! One thing I've noticed this year, everyone's complaining about so-called 'political voting'. I have a few problems with this: 1) I'm yet to see proof that these countries are voting for their 'friends' as opposed to just voting for songs they happen to like. Perhaps they vote for each other because they're so close together that they share similar cultures and similar music tastes? 2) If the UK came a bit closer to the top no one would be saying anything about political voting. Besides, Andy sucks. 3) Who cares if it's political? It's not about who wins, it's about watching a kick ass show! 4) A lot of the people who have been complaining about political voting have also told me eurovision is 'a load of rubbish' and they didn't watch it. If you think it's a load of rubbish then don't fucking complain, asshole! (sorry bout that last one, the person that said that just *really* pissed me off the other day. Had to get it off my chest ;-)) (and no the person isn't on n-europe)
  22. DNS Error

Might want to try putting your Xbox in your router's DMZ? That usually fixes my Xbox problems.
  23. Ubuntu/OS Installation questions

Congrats on your decision to move to the dark side It might be worth seeing if you can make some sort of image of your Vista partition, like Carbon Copy Cloner does on OSX, incase something goes wrong and you want to get rid of Ubuntu and just put Vista back on, (although it's unlikely anything will go wrong). As for having to learn the new UI etc, it's all fairly straightforward and I imagine you should be able to pick it up fairly quickly. Installing drivers is usually straightforward, but can ocassionaly require you to do a bit of messing about. If you need any help it might be worth searching through http://www.ubuntuforums.org , just about every Ubuntu problem has been covered there :-) Good luck, Jack
  24. Can you overclock a Dell?

OCing can be fun sometimes, but going from 2.2GHz to 2.4 or 2.6GHz probably won't give you much of a noticeable difference. Think, do you actually need to overclock?
  25. GTA IV

Anyone else get the feeling that the talk radio stations are really short compared to GTA3 or Vice City? I used to love just driving around listening to Chatterbox on GTA3 but I've only been playing for like 8 hours and I've heard all the talk radio stations loop round at least like 5 times. A bit crap when you consider Chatterbox FM was like 3.5 hours long
