  1. Nintendo Direct Mini

Looks like I'm buying Hyrule Warriors again. Very impressed by the H1 line up. I didn't think they'd be able to keep up the momentum from the end of last year but it looks like they are. Mario Tennis with a story mode and it's still by Camelot. I hope they go the Mario Golf Advance Tour route but I doubt it.
  2. Yeah it's missing quite a few images. I was hoping they'd have a way to upload the archives created via Nintendo so you could help complete it, but that doesn't seem to be an option.
  3. Virtual Reality

I've found having the room be in complete darkness helps. I'm still trying to find the time to mount the PlayStation Camera much higher up facing down as when I've temporarily had it in that position I've had a lot more luck with it. The symptoms it has when it's not working quite right, is that it feels like it's almost constantly swaying. Not by much but by enough that it starts to make me feel ill. Just in case this is putting anybody off, it's almost certainly an issue with the way I've got it setup rather than being an inherent issue.
  4. Virtual Reality

The problem with this, Fallout and Doom is that people have the non-VR games to compare with so they're being a bit over the top about it. The PSVR is definitely a noticeably lower res (and generally lower quality all around) but as soon as you're immersed in it, you just don't care. On the occasions where the stars align and I can actually get the tracking to work properly, PSVR is just as enjoyable to me as my Vive.
  5. Switch eShop Thread

Definitely interested in this but really what is the difference between what it was and this new 'Enhanced Edition'? I've had a scout around and it seems like it's added all the post-release content from the other consoles, but there's very little details on if anything else has been tweaked.
  6. Wii U eShop Thread

This is a pretty good Wii U sale. That's a lot of Mario Kart for £25. Unfortunately I have everything other than Mario Party 10. But I might pick that up as you can't buy that anywhere for £14.
  7. Burnout: Paradise

Looks like a Burnout Paradise re-release might be on the way for Xbox One and PlayStation 4. I'll be annoyed if they call it Burnout Paradise HD though. The original was HD. I loved the original game so I'll be suckered into buying this though I sorta wish it was coming to the Switch but y'know EA.. Hopefully they're sniffing out potential for another Burnout game.
  8. Switch eShop Thread

What exactly have they changed with NBA Playgrounds for it to get a new subtitle?
  9. Definitely. I'm already miffed with Intel's marketing-esque response and that they're the last ones who seem to be doing anything to help mitigate. And I'm very annoyed that they knew this could happen with the way they design their hardware. But I bet they'll still push the second round of Coffee Lakes out the door over the next couple of months.
  10. If you're gonna poke holes in what I said, go for that I said Intel are working on a fix firmware side They've known longer than everyone else and still done nothing leaving it up to the OS and browser makers. Hell they've known ages and still been releasing new chips with the hardware setup which makes this never 100% fixable via software. You can't really give Microsoft a hard time considering they've released their public patch on the day the exploit was made public, with it already going through Insiders (beta) for a while. Apple are yet to even comment about their plans for Mac OS and Safari. Google aren't patching Chrome until the end of the month.
  11. Very crappy that Intel has known about this for a while. From a security point of view this is terrible and Intel deserves all the flak they're getting and going to get for it. But at least Microsoft is on top of it with an emergency patch for their OSes and Intel are working on a firmware patch. From a performance point of view though this isn't really going to effect us as consumers:
  12. Mario & Rabbids Kingdom Battle

When you say platforming do you just mean the overworld movement? Because I'm yet to come across a jump button which would be pretty important for any sort of platforming mechanic.
  13. Yooka-Laylee

Just got mine as well. Completely forgot this was being released this week. eShop pricing is a joke when it's this late.
  14. Ultra Street Fighter II: The Final Challengers is a HD remaster (+ a few small additions) remember. These are pure arcade ports. So it's not like you're getting the game you already have in this if you buy it. This collection is looking awesome. Definitely one for me to pick up on Switch.
  15. Xenoblade Chronicles 2 (2017)

Why does the music in this game not flow correctly? It sorta crashes into the next piece rather than subtly changing. I've just got onto Chapter 2. Enjoying it so far. Though I'm not sure if should be running about during battles. You can't avoid attacks like that and it seems to cause you to break your attacking chain.
  16. 2018 Wishlist

It's going to be a massive ask for them to keep up the momentum that they've had the end of this year. So at the minute I'm fully expecting a disappointing six months or so. I hope that we'll see another new IP from Nintendo but I suspect Arms might have been our only one for now. I also hope that they delve into their back catalogue in attempt to keep things fresh. Advance Wars, Sin & Punishment, Excite, The Last Story, etc. I think we're likely to get ports from the Wii U to boost their releases. Bayonetta, The Wonderful 101 and Super Smash Bros.
  17. Virtual Reality

The Payday 2 VR beta is pretty damn impressive on the HTC Vive.
  18. 3DS eShop Thread

£9 for Shin Megami Tensei IV Apocalypse isn't bad.
  19. Switch eShop Thread

Any rumblings of a Black Friday/Autumn sale next Thursday on the eShop?
  20. Rocket League (Switch)

What game are you guys playing? I've been playing it almost exclusively in handheld mode and yes it's a little soft but never what I'd describe as pixelated. I have noticed the framerate dropping though, usually the first thirty seconds or so after I've woke it from sleep mode.
  21. Doom

Really trying to convince myself I don’t need to pick this up yet and that if I want to get a third party game I should get Skyrim.
  22. amiibo (NFC)

My photo does not do these justice. They're all amazingly detailed.
  23. L.A. Noire (14th Nov 2017)

I think they're doing the right thing aiming the marketing for the Switch version at the fact it's portable.
  24. Xenoblade Chronicles 2 (2017)

The digital + season pass bundle is a bit naff, there's no discount versus buying separately. Having new quests and brand new story content separate makes me hopeful that this is an expansion-esque download to backup that steep price. Not hopeful enough that I'm going to blindly buy it though. I had got the Collector's Edition pre-ordered but I think I'm going to just cancel that and buy the standard.
  25. Xbox One Console Discussion

Well Amazon have screwed me over with the Xbox One X. Ordered within minutes of it going up and they've not delivered it today, not told me why they haven't delivered it today and the website is still saying it's going to be despatched today to arrive today. My friend who ordered five days later has received theirs today.
