  1. Lego City: Undercover

I received a dispatch email about my Lego City Undercover pre-order from Zavvi at about 7:45pm yesterday. I won't know until I get home if that actually means I've received it today though. Update: It didn't arrive.
  2. Lego City: Undercover

No chance of getting it this week then. And with my past experiences with Zavvi you either get it on release day or not for a few weeks.
  3. Lego City: Undercover

Probably a silly question but has anybody had it despatched from Zavvi yet?
  4. Call of Duty: Black Ops 2

    Currently £25 on Zavvi.
  5. Is the RRP for this officially £20 then? If it is, it might be my first purchase of a retail game via digital download on the 3DS.
  6. 3D Pokédex App

Nobody seems to have mentioned that this is currently on sale with 20% off on the eShop. I'm still not sure if I should pick it up. Surely the iOS version is better purely because of being able to use it at the same time as playing the game. Does anybody know the differences between the iOS version and the 3DS version? Other than the iOS version being more expensive, not 3D and only on one screen (but a higher resolution & bigger if you're on the iPad).
  7. PlayStation Vita Console Discussion

Next month's Vita Playstation Plus content: 10th April: Zero Escape: Virtue’s Last Reward 24th April: Thomas Was Alone I'd been looking to pick up Virtue's Last Reward on 3DS. No need to now!
  8. Bioshock: Infinite

Yeah, I mostly think it will be an excellent game. After all it's back to being developed Irrational Games unlike BioShock 2. I'd have been more worried if the actual review didn't seem to lend itself to such a high rating. Personally I'm hoping GMG will send out the serial keys early so I can pre-load the game through Steam. The minimum specs required for the game mention 20GB of HDD space so it's going to be a hefty download.
  9. Resident Evil Revelations Wii U

Yeah, if they'd added in Wiimote aiming I'd have double dipped on this. It's a shame really because, without having any knowledge of how their engine works, it would have probably just been a matter of mapping it like the mouse on the PC version.
  10. Bioshock: Infinite

The first, and exclusive, review for this is out now. IGN It's from IGN and they're the only ones allowed to publish a review before release. Take from that what you will. There's still a part of me worried about the quality of the game. Why are they practically giving it away in the pre-order bundles? Why are IGN the only ones allowed to publish a pre-release review? Not that I have much choice about getting it now. As soon as they added X-COM to the GMG bundle I bit.
  11. Need For Speed Most Wanted U

Online? Everywhere. GameSeek (via Play.com) are selling it for £42. ShopTo are selling it for £40 but I seem to be one of the few who have had a very bad experience with them in the past.
  12. Need For Speed Most Wanted U

How is it using the digital triggers? I almost picked it up until I remembered the Wii U doesn't have analogue triggers. As NFS:MW is an arcade racer it might be okay though. I definitely wouldn't pick up a sim racer on it.
  13. Deus Ex: Human Defiance (Movie)

If this is a port and if it turns out well, I think I'll be picking the game up for a third time. This is my problem with most of the late ports which have been released on the Wii U. I know they've had to invest extra development time and that has cost money but it's hardly attractive to see a game, which is seemingly the same as on other platforms, cost over twice as much.
  14. PlayStation Vita Console Discussion

The only problem with Persona 4 coming out is that I don't have any games to look forward to on the Vita now.
  15. If I have to pick one: Super Metroid.
  16. PlayStation 4 Console Discussion

I'd also like to know this. I'm guessing they're still using bluetooth so there's probably a chance.
  17. Persona 4: The Golden

It is if you're sticking around on a specific version to make use of unofficial features.
  18. Persona 4: The Golden

Boooo it has a forced update to 2.01.
  19. Jak series and Ratchet series

Oh I didn't know that. Thanks for the heads up. At least they're giving it for free. They didn't have to give us anything for delaying the Vita version of Q-Force.
  20. Jak series and Ratchet series

This is the closest I could find to a Ratchet & Clank series thread. Apparently those who are waiting on the Vita cross play of Ratchet & Clank Q-Force will be getting Motorstorm RC and Ratchet: Gladiator. Motorstorm RC is, in my opinion, the best game on the Vita so far. Ratchet: Gladiator is the only R&C game I've never played, so that's good to have.
  21. Diablo 3

I'm actually happy it's coming to the PS4. Diablo III feels like a console ARPG so it may as well be on a console. I'm looking forward to playing the local co-op. I wonder if it'll replace Baldur's Gate Dark Alliance as my favourite console ARPG.
  22. Persona 4: The Golden

Persona 4: Golden is out today so I thought this thread deserved a bump. Zavvi, once again, has failed to get a pre-order to me on time. They haven't even dispatched it! If they weren't so cheap, I'd just stop using them.
  23. You're right about Nintendo. Their only big sellers these days are Mario and Pokemon. Which is a shame because almost all of their properties should be and then we'd get a bit more variety. This probably going to be an unpopular opinion but Quantic Dream and Team Ico are both terrible. Quantic Dream seem to get away with it because they're 'artsy'. Heavy Rain was boring and Beyond is looking to be similar. On Team Ico, what exactly have they done recently? We're in an almost FF Versus XIII situation with The Last Guardian. Which is a shame because Team Ico games are actually worth playing. I bought a PS3 specifically to play Gran Turismo 5 and it ended up being incredibly underwhelming. I used to play Forza thinking it was a stop-gap between GT4 and GT5. Now I think Forza has taken over from it. I like the God of War series, it has a few too many QTEs but generally it's a good action game. inFamous was a good new property but I didn't go out and buy the second straight away. I do plan to pick it up though! I've always found the Killzone series to be the game which the 'development machine' churns out when set to maximum generic shooter. I'm sure if you scratch beneath the surface it has a bit more to it but I'm still not at that point with it. The Resistance series is okay. I like the alternative-past setting. I'm not a fan of LittleBigPlanet. I was massively hyped for the first but, after getting it on day one, found it to be a mediocre platformer and limited creation tool. Maybe the second one is because I'm a Software Developer and not a designer of any kind. I love Naughty Dog. I have ever since Crash Bandicoot! I think they put out amazing games and I'm really looking forward to The Last of Us. Similarly I love Insomniac too since the Spyro days. I think one of the main reasons I only think Resistance is only 'okay' is because I prefer the Ratchet & Clank series. I'm reserving judgement on Sly Cooper until my pre-order of the latest one turns up. Mainly because it's not made by Sucker Punch anymore. Grand Theft Auto and Metal Gear Solid are both multiplatform now, right? After saying all that, I don't think Microsoft's lot is any better. I like Banjo Kazooie (is that heresy to say on a Nintendo board?), Forza, Viva Pinata, Crackdown (original only!), PGR and Fable. Out of those I think only Forza and Fable are still active. I could leave all their other properties.
  24. PlayStation 4 Console Discussion

It was obvious there'd be no traditional backwards compatibility. But what about games you've bought digitally on PSN? Will they now be streamable?
  25. Nintendo 3DS Direct - Third Party - 11am Today!

Hopefully The Zelda Oracle GBC games get released in the EU eShop!
