  1. LEGO City Undercover: The Chase Begins

I won't receive mine until tomorrow. Does it still have a load of unlockables?
  2. Classic controllers on Wii

I received the MayFlash NES/SNES adaptor today. I've used it to connect a NES-004E controller and it works flawlessly on all my Wii Remotes. So happy to be playing games as they were intended again!
  3. Watch Dogs (Nov 21st)

Has the AC3 PS3 exclusive content been released as DLC on other platforms yet?
  4. Has anybody received their codes today? This is the 7th day since you've been able to claim.
  5. Watch Dogs (Nov 21st)

http://www.game.co.uk/webapp/wcs/stores/servlet/HubArticleView?hubId=170519&articleId=170520&catalogId=10201&langId=44&storeId=10151&cm_sp=home-_-banner-_-watchdogsannounce Game don't even mention the Wii U in the writing on their special edition pre-order page. That's a bit annoying. At least there actually is a SE version for the Wii U, I guess.
  6. Watch Dogs (Nov 21st)

Exclusive content on the PS4 version now makes this a three way battle for me now in regards of which to buy. PC (shininess, future proofing) or PS4 (exclusive dlc) or Wii U (gamepad features) Edit: I dislike story content as exclusive DLC. They really should limit it to cosmetic DLC only.
  7. Deus Ex: Human Revolution Directors Cut

£25 is an excellent price for it. If you've never played it before, it's well worth picking it up. I think I'll wait for sub £20 before I pick it up for a third time though.
  8. Ratchet & Clank The Movie

Blockade are just a production company. Rainmaker are doing the actual animation. And, as I've mentioned before, they did ReBoot and Beast Wars.
  9. Stars Catalogue/Updates

    Banana Trophy = 12x7cm Mushroom Trophy = 10x8cm
  10. Stars Catalogue/Updates

I bought the Mushroom Cup and Banana Cup. That's all my points gone now!
  11. Wii U eShop Thread

I really wouldn't moan about Sony or Microsoft over them having no backwards compatibility. Nintendo has done much worse by keeping GameCube compatibility within the Wii U (via the Wii hardware) but not letting us use it. Same goes for GBA games on the 3DS/DSi. I don't particularly want to pay to have the Xbox 360/PS3 hardware, along with their long list of faults, inside the upcoming generation of consoles. At least with x86 we should be better positioned to have backwards compatibility next generation. Plus there's a good chance that Sony will transfer digital PS1 licenses across to the PS4 just like they have between the PS3, PSP and Vita. Will they charge us like Nintendo are for upgrading out Virtual Console purchases? Who knows. Personally I'm betting they don't. So how much do people think Nintendo will charge us for EarthBound? I'm going for £9.99.
  12. Ratchet & Clank The Movie

A Ratchet & Clank film being wrote by a writer from the game, has Insomniac involved, and is being created by the makers of ReBoot AND Beast Wars (Rainmaker Entertainment). Yes! Many times yes!
  13. LEGO City Undercover: The Chase Begins

After enjoying the Wii U version I've gone and ordered it too. I know the reviews haven't been overly positive but it still looks fun.
  14. Wii U VC

Does anybody know if you lose the access to your Wii version if you upgrade it to the Wii U? I know it seems silly to ask but you never know with Nintendo.
  15. Wii U VC

I think I might pick up Super Mario World and Excitebike out of those initial offerings. How much do they cost again?
  16. Iwata: Wii U Has Lost Momentum

Reminds me of the Nintendo 3DS when that launched. What did happen to that quirky piece of tech that nobody asked for? Joking aside, I haven't enjoyed my Wii U anywhere near as much as I did my 3DS in the same time period. But I'm sure they'll be able to do a soft relaunch like they did with the 3DS to turn it around.
  17. Nintendo Ditching This Years E3 Presser

The mainstream media will still be shown stuff, it'll just be behind closed doors. If anything having a smaller group of people in their conferences will mean that those people talk about the products more. We, as gamers, still get the info via Nintendo Direct. Game journalists will still go to the behind closed doors conferences and all the attendees will still get to play the games on the show floor. I really can't see how it's a problem.
  18. This has been out for a while in the US and Japan. I've not heard much about it and it's out over here next month. Isn't it any good?
  19. Wii U VC

I'm guessing the issues they might have with Wii/GC games on the Wii U is how they'd pass the disc image to the Wii hardware. They can't even do a hook to launch straight into a Wii game disc from the Wii U menu. Then there's the issue of emulating a GameCube controller which the Wii hardware would accept. Plus, because they've dropped analogue shoulder buttons, we don't have any Wii U controller capable of matching the GameCube inputs. And, in relation to the VC launch, was anybody actually expecting anything different from Nintendo? They've always been scared of over saturating the market with their old games.
  20. Wii U eShop Thread

With how slow they are at releasing VC games, I wouldn't put it past Nintendo to only release one.
  21. After completing Skyward Sword I decided to have a go on Twilight Princess again. I'm playing it with the exact same controller I used to play Skyward Sword, the golden Wii Remote Plus, and after a period of time the + - HOME buttons will stop responding. Switching to a standard Wii Remote or a Wii Remote with Wii Motion Plus attached and the + - HOME buttons work again. Has anybody else experienced this?
  22. 3DS eShop Thread

Awesome that GAME are now offering the download cards! Though the prices seem to be the same as the physical game. Though for some, such as Fire Emblem, they've raised the price of the physical game leaving the digital one at the original price.
  23. I didn't realise Nintendo owned the rights to Xenoblade/The Last Story/Pandora's Tower. Pretty impressive if they do.
  24. Do we? When was that mentioned? In this Nintendo Direct?
  25. I agree with you mostly but surely they could at least be rolling out some of their other IPs. Metroid, F-Zero, Starfox are all IPs that they have stored away. And though Mario games don't confine the genres, it does confine the story telling. There's only so much you can do set in the Mario universe. Edit: I should mention that the only thing I disliked in this Nintendo Direct was the LttP2 art style. I'm happy about everything else!
