  1. I think that if they were to do this, there'd only be ~15 games included. Realistic Predictions: Bomberman 64 Castlevania Legacy of Darkness Donkey Kong 64 Goemon's Great Adventure Kirby 64: The Crystal Shards Mario Kart 64 Namco Museum 64 Paper Mario Pokemon Puzzle League Pokemon Snap Star Fox 64 Super Mario 64 Super Smash Bros The Legend of Zelda Ocarina of Time The Legend of Zelda Majora's Mask Yoshi's Story Unrealistic Predictions: Animal Crossing Never released outside Japan. But as this was the game which ended up as the Animal Crossing on GameCube it means that there might be a translation already in existence. This would make it a Classic Mini exclusive, like how StarFox 2 was on the SNES Classic. Banjo-Kazooie Microsoft have released Rare games on Nintendo platforms before though. Might see this as easy money and advertising for future Banjo games? But then Nintendo might also see it as advertising for a competing platform. Diddy Kong Racing Nintendo will favour Mario Kart 64 over this and I can't see them putting both on there. Goldeneye A legal nightmare. Perfect Dark Same as Banjo plus would increase the age rating. Turok Would make the package be 18 rated. I think 1080, F-Zero, Mario Golf, Mario Tennis, Mario Party, Pilot Wings, Wave Race would all be missed purely so that Nintendo wouldn't be giving too much away for the price and because (other than the Mario games) there's no future instalments planned.
  2. Remembering WiiWare

Firstly congratulations on your haul! You know it makes sense, would only regret it tomorrow if you didn’t get what you wanted. Weirdly the file for Zombies on the SNES VC isn’t correct. The Wii emulator accounts for it fine so you won’t notice; but if you try to extract it and then restore the PCM audio to BRR the header file describes it incorrectly.
  3. I think Nintendo will struggle to make a software emulator they’d be happy with on the hardware they’re already using for the NES/SNES Classic Mini. Plus the Classic Controller interface doesn’t support rumble because of the additional power requirement. Not that all N64 games had rumble. So I don’t think the N64 Classic Mini is a definite. I could definitely rustle up a list of games I’d want to see on there avoiding any with obvious licensing issues.
  4. Remembering WiiWare

So I've done most of my purchases now. Loaded my account up with 10,000 points to spend until the end of January next year. Haven't got most of the Crystal Chronicles DLC as I might play the game and end up not enjoying it at all (though I remember liking the demos, so that's not likely). Haven't bought Mystic Quest Legend as there's the super slim chance the Wii U gets it like it has in Japan. Haven't bought Super Star Wars because there's a chance they're ported, like how the first has been. I've not bought Pokemon Puzzle League yet because there's a slim chance there'll be an N64 Classic, and I suspect this would be included on it. Obviously if I've still got all the points in my account come January, I'll just buy the above.

Edit: Removed most of the remaining CC DLC. Just over 24 hours to go before you will not be able to buy Wii Shop Points.
  6. Remembering WiiWare

Anybody got any suggestions on which DLC I should pick up for Final Fantasy Crystal Chronicles My Life As A Dark Lord. There's quite a lot and I'm not sure which 'add to the game' and which are just shortcuts or cosmetic.
  7. Remembering WiiWare

Something that's just caught me out. You can only have 10,000 Wii Points in your account. So not only have we gotta put the money in this weekend, we've also gotta buy most of what we want.
  8. Remembering WiiWare

I should point out that I wouldn't be doing this if I couldn't get them off the Wii. I'm able to make a backup of my NAND and also extract the games themselves to use in Dolphin.
  9. Remembering WiiWare

I'm just about to load up 30,000 points, that's £210. Seems insane. Gonna be a kick in the face if everything gets re-released elsewhere (though I hope it does! Digital death = bad).
  10. Wii General Discussion

I can't find Strider on PSN, just the 2014 game. Do you have a link?
  11. Wii General Discussion

This is available on Wii U https://www.nintendo.co.uk/Games/NES/Ufouria-THE-SAGA-279987.html
  12. Wii General Discussion

The WiiWare Bomberman game is on that list purely because it will be gone forever when the Shopping Channel shuts down. Bomberman Hero is there because it's a bit different to the other Bombermans (no multi) and it's ~£15 to buy the cart. Pokemon Rumble is another WiiWare which will be gone forever. Would be nice to see where the series started. WarioWare DIY Showcase is pretty much on the list as a maybe. I think it might still enhance the offline play of the game but not really sold on it yet.

I've even tried to cut it down (Not all the My Life DLC for example). The VC games I've picked are mostly ones which I think licensing issues will make them difficult to re-release. Think I'm missing anything? You will not be able to buy Wii Shop Points past Monday 26th March 2018. That's just over one week away.
  14. Wii General Discussion

I'm going to sound like a broken record but we're now approaching the last 14 days so I think another reminder is in order. You will not be able to buy Wii Shop Points past Monday 26th March 2018.
  15. Dragon Ball Xenoverse 2 (Q3 2017)

Bought this yesterday so that's nice to see. I did wonder why it took a while to download the update.
  16. Bandai Namco have announced that Dragon Ball Xenoverse 2 will be coming to the Nintendo Switch in Q3 2017. The game will feature ad-hoc multiplayer, motion controls and two-player battles with each player using a single Joy-Con. [tweet]866567372462862336[/tweet]
  17. 3DS eShop Thread

Thought it was worth putting this in here too.
  18. General Switch Discussion

How are people finding FIFA? It's on sale at the minute so I might pick it up.
  19. Switch eShop Thread

I've picked up Riptide GP too. Along with Oxenfree. Which I've owned on Steam for ages but never got around to playing.
  20. Nintendo Labo

This will fail if they don't sell the cardboard part of the package separately and cheaply. Make the game be the expensive part, not the cardboard peripheral.
  21. Pokken Tournament (Wii U Spring 2016)

This has been mentioned in the Nintendo Direct Mini thread but thought it was worth a post here too. So we're getting two pieces of DLC for Pokken DX. Wave 1 – available January 31st New Battle Pokémon: Aegislash New Support Pokémon set: Mega Rayquaza/Mimikyu New items for your avatar Wave 2 – available March 23rd New Battle Pokémon: Blastoise New Support Pokémon set: Mew/Celebi While that sounds pretty cool, this is all you're getting for £13.50. Or to put it another way for 25% of the cost of the game on the eShop you can get two more characters and two more support sets. DLC is never good value but this feels particularly stingy when put next to the other season passes available.
  22. Wii General Discussion

Just a reminder that you will not be able to buy Wii Points past Monday 26th March 2018. These are the games I'm currently looking to buy: Castlevania Rondo of Blood Bomberman Blast Crystal Defenders R1 Crystal Defenders R2 Final Fantasy Crystal Chronicles: My Life as a Darklord (+ it's DLC) Final Fantasy Crystal Chronicles: My Life as a King (+ it's DLC) Contra ReBirth Gradius ReBirth Pokemon Rumble I already own some games on there but I think the above are the remaining exclusives that are worth me picking up. Anybody else looking to purchase Wii Shop games before it's too late?
  23. Nintendo Direct Mini

Looks like I'm buying Hyrule Warriors again. Very impressed by the H1 line up. I didn't think they'd be able to keep up the momentum from the end of last year but it looks like they are. Mario Tennis with a story mode and it's still by Camelot. I hope they go the Mario Golf Advance Tour route but I doubt it.
  24. Yeah it's missing quite a few images. I was hoping they'd have a way to upload the archives created via Nintendo so you could help complete it, but that doesn't seem to be an option.
  25. Virtual Reality

I've found having the room be in complete darkness helps. I'm still trying to find the time to mount the PlayStation Camera much higher up facing down as when I've temporarily had it in that position I've had a lot more luck with it. The symptoms it has when it's not working quite right, is that it feels like it's almost constantly swaying. Not by much but by enough that it starts to make me feel ill. Just in case this is putting anybody off, it's almost certainly an issue with the way I've got it setup rather than being an inherent issue.
