  1. General Switch Discussion

The annoying thing is that they'll probably take the low amount of people using the setup to mean that people don't want voice chat. Bit ridiculous that they're restricting voice chat just to paying users too. The competition don't do that.
  2. As long as there's a migration path to take the users and posts across, I'm cool with it. I'd quite like to see a similar looking site after the change though, even if it works differently.
  3. 3DS eShop Thread

@londragon Think you may have accidentally put the Wii U eShop update in both threads.
  4. Crash Bandicoot N.Sane Trilogy (PS4)

Oh sorry, I didn't mean it like that. I meant are we believing the rumours? I think it'd be great for it to go multi platform.
  5. Virtual Reality

I bought this in the end and I finally got chance to play it yesterday. It's a pretty good arena shooter. No real story mode, so it's obvious that it was geared to be mainly multiplayer. Sort of feels like a version of RIGS with your character being in a space ship instead of a mech. £20 was a good price, anything more would have been a bit too much.
  6. Crash Bandicoot N.Sane Trilogy (PS4)

How are we taking the rumours of this only being a timed exclusive to the PlayStation 4?
  7. Arms

Managed to get on before Doctor Who tonight to try the motion controls. Like others have said here, the motion controls are the way you're supposed to play this. Can do so much more compared to standard controls. The only change I'd make is allowing the left analogue stick to control movement while using the motion controls. Found it awkward to move by tilting. It's also eased my fears on the Switch motion controls being naff. My experience in Zelda was very frustrating as the motion controlled shrines never seemed to track correctly. Definitely going to buy this.
  8. Arms

Played this Testpunch using standard controls. I wasn't very good but I enjoyed it all the same. Going to try motion controls tomorrow.
  9. Wii U eShop Thread

The first two Ubisoft games on the Wii U VC. Previously they've only had one on the Wii VC and two on the 3DS VC.
  10. Mario & Rabbids Kingdom Battle

I like the Rabbids and I like Mario. So I was looking forward to this when it was just a rumour. But now I'm not so keen based on the characters wielding what look to be guns. The slide saying "surprise at announcement" is very amusing to me though. I bet they've had to rewrite their plans a little. It's probably ruined Ubisoft's E3. The Rabbids were out a few years earlier than the Minions. So it's not like as if they're a me-too idea. It is a Ubisoft document, so I'm guessing Nintendo will be a bit peeved with what it says.
  11. Dragon Ball Xenoverse 2 (Q3 2017)

Where did you read that? That'd be really cool.
  12. General Switch Discussion

I didn't want to create a thread specifically for this because I didn't want to get peoples' hopes up but: Is Call of Duty: WWII Headed to Switch? I should point out though that the account linking takes place as part of your Activision account, not Call of Duty specifically. But this is still something as I don't think Activision have any upcoming Switch titles announced.
  13. General Switch Discussion

This is probably a silly question but do we get the opportunity to pre-order (and pre-load) games on the eShop? Since buying Mario Kart on cartridge I've been wishing I'd opted for the digital version, so I'm looking to go digital for Nintendo published games moving forward.
  14. Harvest Moon: Light of Hope

The Natsume games are the 'fake' Harvest Moons now, aren't they? It's Marvellous who were the devs and now publish them via XSEED instead, right? It's all very confusing.
  15. Harvest Moon: Light of Hope

I only found the other day that the newer Harvest Moons aren't really Harvest Moon games. The original developer makes Story of Seasons now.
  16. My Nintendo ( Club Nintendo Successor )

New Content: PIKMIN Short Movies HD - 50 Gold Coins PIKMIN Short Movies 3D - 50 Gold Coins Pikmin Working Together (Theme) - 20 Gold Coins Looks like we are paying gold coins for themes now.
  17. ARMS Nintendo Direct 17th May

    11pm over here.
  18. LEGO Dimensions (NFC Figures)

Well it seems that probably everybody knew this other than me, it's now almost certain that Lego Dimensions has been cancelled. Yes, everything in that article is based on the site talking to an unnamed source but it's looking fairly water tight. The total Gold Brick count dropped in a recent update and more obviously some ? circles in the World portal disappeared. The fourth Year 2 Story Pack was supposed to The Lego Ninjago Movie, which is likely to instead now be expanded into a full game. Additionally the team at TT Games who'd been working on Dimensions were said to be moving onto a sequel to a game from a few years ago. Which today is revealed as Lego Marvel Super Heroes 2. It also seems like there was supposed to be a PowerPuff Girls Level Pack coming out as it was mentioned in an update on the Xbox version, but instead it's been downgraded to a Team Pack. This is a massive shame for me as it's been a great way to get 'games' based on franchises that wouldn't be popular enough to have a full game. I mean, who would have thought we'd have got a Michael Knight minifigure! Or even a Beetlejuice one. Lego Dimensions has been the only Toys-to-Life game that I've really like. It's mixture of different franchises and humour for all ages made it so enjoyable.
  19. Report a Bug! [Read OP first]

Yeah today the CloudFlare pages are popping up almost every other page.
  20. Wii U and 3DS Gaming Bargains

I don't think we have a Switch Gaming Bargains thread. This isn't exactly a bargain, but cheaper than I've seen them anywhere else. Joy-Con Pairs for £59 at Amazon, available in 1-2 months.
  21. Lego Marvel Super Heroes 2

Excellent! Shame the Switch version isn't on the same date as the others though. I know that this is a sequel to Lego Marvel Super Heroes but I was expecting a brand new name to stop any sort of confusion with the Lego Avengers game. I'm still hoping we'll end up with the Disney properties in Lego Dimensions now that Disney Infinity has gone. Think I might be hoping for a very long time though...
  22. Switch flaws... Problem or not?

I think some of the wifi issues can be fixed with software. It seems to have very aggressive wifi power saving going on, which is why sometimes it won't connect after it wakes up. But the range not being very good, that's likely hardware.
  23. Report a Bug! [Read OP first]

Been getting a lot of CloudFlare interstitial pages over the past 24 hours or so saying that the website host is erroring. I'm guessing you're still experiencing high load on one of the other sites on your box.
  24. Switch flaws... Problem or not?

I'd gladly buy a Joy-Con with a proper d-pad but I think it'd cause too much confusion. It would pretty much stop the ability to use it as it's own controller.
  25. General Switch Discussion

Looks like lots of us were playing Mario Kart in the office yesterday. Two of us in the office took in our Switches yesterday. Didn't work out quite as planned because with only two switches you can still only play four player Mario Kart. Still we all had fun! And I'm pretty sure a few people will pick one up before the end of the year.
