I'll try to be on around 9. I am still terrible with this so apologies in advance to anybody who ends up on my team during the team matches!

Thanks for that link. It looks like Modern Horror reuses a lot of the free Modern sprites but darkened. Supernatural I think maps to what Google translate is calling Afraid. Sci-fi 2 looks alright. I can't determine which Modern Set 2 Key is. I should probably prefix how I'm finding this with: My day job is as a web developer (and I did comp sci games dev at uni) so my brain is already wired up to think programmatically. I honestly don't think that matters very much because this is so abstracted from actual programming, but thought it was worth mentioning all the same. It's not super simple but it's not overly complex. It's one of the few games where I wish the physical version would have come with a manual so that I could easily find what I'm looking for. I might be being overly harsh but I don't think the translation is all that great which adds to the frustration when navigating the menus. It's worth noting that there is no sort of tutorial with this. There is no type of scripting in this game at all, unlike in the PC versions. Events are made purely via a click interface with a rather awkward element moving system. I think with a bit of manipulation you could do quite complex things with it. There are limits on the number of items, classes, monsters and worlds you can create but, as of yet, they don't feel overly restrictive. My biggest annoyance at the minute is that it seems like worlds can only be one of three set sizes. That's fine if you want to go bigger because you can stitch the worlds together via events but if you want to go smaller there doesn't seem to be any sort of way to create 'empty space' around the area that you want. And as I've mentioned before, there is no sprite editor at all. So all the games created with it are going to look fairly generic. You can change a single, predetermined, colour on the battle and overworld sprites included but the colours aren't exactly natural so it's not much use.

I'm really enjoying RPG Maker FES. I wonder if it's worth picking up the additional sets while they're reduced. I'm guessing these will have already been released in Japan but I'm struggling to find any info about them. The cynical part of me does think that they perhaps didn't add the ability to draw your own sprites using the touch screen purely to sell the DLC.
  4. Metroid Samus Returns for 3DS (2D Metroid game)

That SE looks great. Do we know if it's exclusive to a specific store yet?
  5. New Software!

    Looking good so far.
  6. Switch Accessories

This upcoming dock from Nyko might be useful: Arstechnica article.
  7. Arms

It seems, like other people here, the Testpunch gave me a false sense of ability. Went in on level 3 and got trashed. Was anybody else expecting Biff to be voiced?
  8. General Switch Discussion

I'd assumed this but only today I've seen it: preowned games can not be used to claim MyNintendo coins. Which must mean each cartridge has a unique identifier. I wonder if they'll do more with that in the future.
  9. Mario & Rabbids Kingdom Battle

I think Ubisoft, UPlay and Club Ubisoft are all the same account.
  10. Nintendo Spotlight: E3 2017

You don't have to buy amiibos and as far as collectible figurines go they're well priced and nicely detailed. They're better than those Pop figures that are everywhere these days.
  11. Nintendo Spotlight: E3 2017

Nintendo should have put all these reveals in the Direct. I understand the focus is the Switch now but still, it would have been nice to see all these games.
  12. Nintendo Spotlight: E3 2017

Wow the pop-in is really bad on Fire Emblem Warriors. Actually seems more distracting that Hyrule Warriors. Is that just because it's been a while since I played it now though?
  13. Mario & Rabbids Kingdom Battle

Watching a little of this on the Treehouse stream now and Mario still doesn't sound right to me.
  14. Metroid Samus Returns for 3DS (2D Metroid game)

Oh no I missed both of those by not watching the stream!
  15. Nintendo Spotlight: E3 2017

Is there a schedule for the Treehouse stream? They show way too much of the games for me to be able to watch it without feeling like it's ruining the actual game for me.
  16. Metroid Samus Returns for 3DS (2D Metroid game)

The Treehouse stream is showing too much for me now.
  17. Metroid Samus Returns for 3DS (2D Metroid game)

It's being made by MercuryStream who did Castlevania: Lords of Shadow.
  18. Metroid Samus Returns for 3DS (2D Metroid game)

Eurogamer are reporting that it's a remake of Metroid II. (I missed the start of the stream).
  19. Metroid Samus Returns for 3DS (2D Metroid game)

    Eeeeeeeeeeeee it's this September!!
  20. Nintendo Spotlight: E3 2017

So happy about side scrolling Metroid being announced. I've completely 180'd from my previous opinion of Nintendo's E3 2017. Yes it's not sprite based, but that was never ever going to happen, and to moan about it would be just poking at something for the sake of it.
  21. Metroid Samus Returns for 3DS (2D Metroid game)

Argh on one hand I want to continue watching the Treehouse stream but on the other I don't want to see too much of the game!
  22. Metroid Samus Returns for 3DS (2D Metroid game)

What???? I walked away from the computer as soon as the Direct ended.
  23. Nintendo Spotlight: E3 2017

If we exclude the Metroid and Pokemon announcements, because they're probably years away, we didn't get much out of that for 2017. We had a few of the precious minutes advertising DLC for Zelda. Which, unfortunately, didn't look that great anyway.
  24. Nintendo Spotlight: E3 2017

Did that end abruptly for everyone?
