That scan looks too good to be a fake and the game has been rumoured to be in development for ages (the original leak came over a year ago!) I say it's real. It would've had plenty of time in development and was probably pushed back in order to not compete with DQX Wii. Besides, even without that original leak, it was blatantly obvious that it would come to 3DS eventually - given that every previous DQ game has come to handhelds (and in order even!) The big question however is whether or not it'll finally see a release in Europe for the first time ever...

Nice! :awesome:

I agree with you on the 3 new games (the tunnels blocking the Gamepad view in Twister Race is a stroke of genius!) but if you think about the way the Gamepad is being held, the decision to have the craft controlled by tilt the best choice as the analog sticks would be too awkward to use in that position (and Stylus touch controls would obscure your view of the map) They could always have you hold the Gamepad in its normal position I guess, but that would mean that you wouldn't be able to see as much of the map as you would do in landscape mode (and that is the main point of the Gamepad in this game...) Octopus Dance looks too basic to have much lasting value though (even though I think it's a cool use of the Gamepad) I wonder how each of these games incorporate co-op play... BTW, I really like this trend of seeing Wii U games offering different perspectives of the game. That's something that they didn't do as much as I would've liked on the DS.

Finally got a chance to catch up with last week's episode (Entangled). Great stuff! much better than Lemons (which felt rather forced all round to me and featured a plot that ran its course less than halfway through). I love how this episode brings back more of the sci-fi wacky concepts from some of the later episodes, as I felt that this series was a bit lacking in those thus far. My only real complaint is that the professor's ending was very much contrived - even for the series' standard (just read it to yourself on paper and you'll see how utterly absurd it is). Felt like it would be more at home on Father Ted than Red Dwarf Other than that, great stuff! : peace: It was all rather coincidental, wasn't it

He actually changed his legal name himself as an adult. He's completely nuts. I'm surprised that Nintendo still allow him to be associated with their brand - he's poisonous, speaking from a PR perspective (I would've thought that they'd try and distance themselves from him publicly)

I've no need to worry. My mate has Black 2

Wow! That sounds crazy fun! Can't wait to try out a full Challenge Mode playthrough!

N-Europe's Top 50 Wii Games: The Results [NUMBERS 10-1!!]
Dcubed replied to Cube's topic in Nintendo Gaming
Soooooooo guys. What's happening with the rest of the countdown? Is it still gonna finish before the Wii U comes out? Looking forward to seeing the rest of it still! -
The fact that they specifically noted the Stars Catalogue as getting the lion's share of the update is pretty telling. I bet the majority of this update will be focused around some sort of Wii U integration (being able to see how many discount points you've earned, being able to buy eShop games from the website itself etc)

It looks interesting, but I wonder if Nintendo might not be too happy about them stealing assets from Link's Awakening (half the sound effects in that trailer are directly stolen from Zelda LA), especially if that game is due to appear on rival platforms as well... Parody and homage is one thing. Stealing copywrited game assets is another thing entirely.

Damn that's just beautiful. The colour choice just completely makes it! Reminds me of that awesome Groudon GBAsp

Nintendo Direct 25th October...TODAY!
Dcubed replied to Hero-of-Time's topic in General Gaming Discussion
Those NDs were both disappointingly bereft of new announcements; but DAHYM I'd be lying if I didn't say that those new English trailers for Animal Crossing New Leaf, Fire Emblem Awakening and Paper Mario SS weren't 100% badass! -
Why not include it? Bayonetta 2 and Monolith Soft's new IP are both listed and they're not coming out for ages. "Hoshi no Kirby Wii" was included on the list for years and years (to the point where I started to think that it was just a running gag ) and "The Legend of Zelda Wii" was listed as early as 2009! (before its E3 2010 unveiling even!) I really don't think it's indicative of anything really. It's still probably not gonna hit till 2014 (and possibly 2015 for the Wii U game)

Nintendo Direct 25th October...TODAY!
Dcubed replied to Hero-of-Time's topic in General Gaming Discussion
Even when they do, they probably still wont be able to show us what the eShop or the online friends/Miiverse stuff looks like since it probably wont be made active until launch day -
Nintendo dun-goofed. I take it by everyone's silence on the matter that it wont make it for launch day then...

Nintendo Direct 25th October...TODAY!

I'm sure that the people who are releasing games on the eShop on day 1 don't like it though! -
Nintendo Direct 25th October...TODAY!

A 3DS one!? Unexpected! So I take it that means that it wont be going over the eShop/OS stuff then? Sigh, they're really gonna do it aren't they? They're not going to tell us or their 3rd party partners anything at all until the console is out on store shelves -
From this last year alone in EU... This list would be even longer if we stretched it just 6 months more and/or included non-character driven new IPs... (not to mention that there are even more new IPs that are coming out over here shortly - including Nintendo Land, Sing, The Wonderful 101, Denpa Men and Harmo Knight)
-
Stop being so damn secretive and bloody tell/show us what games are coming past the launch window and what the eShop & OS stuff looks like/how it works already!

So the game is now up for pre-order on Capcom's US site... 3DS http://shop.capcom.com/store/capcomus/en_US/pd/ThemeID.1944700/productID.256110500/Monster-Hunter-3-Ultimate-Nintendo-3DS.html Wii U http://shop.capcom.com/store/capcomus/en_US/pd/ThemeID.1944700/productID.256030000/Monster-Hunter-3-Ultimate-Wii-U.html?resid=UIcSsQoHAtcAAEIfYlcAAABF&rests=1351029425198 But what's interesting is that the Wii U version comes with a free Classic Controller Pro! (the Wii one, not the new Pro Controller that looks like a 360 one) So it seems that you can still use the CC Pro for Tri U!
-
Wow! I cant believe that they've dumped the iPad 3 in just 7 months! And that gen 3/4 hardware is really sticking around! So now devs have 4 processors to design for (not counting the slight variations between models), 3 different RAM sizes, 4 different resolutions and 3 different aspect ratios! Holy Fragmented Ecosystem Batman!
-
The controls were ruined in this version. You're supposed to have a full 360 degrees level of control, but it's only 8 way in the PSN/XBLA version. That being said, I would agree with you about the game being too zoomed in and not giving you a wide enough FOV. I've always felt that was an issue, even with the Saturn original. Once you memorise the layout though, you can fly through the levels like a pro though!
-
So supposedly, NightSky is coming out here next month... I'll believe it when I see it... Oh yeah, we're also getting Layton MoM and Mighty Bomb Jack NES this week.
-
Yes, but not nearly as much as with past consoles and that's mostly down to Nintendo being overly tight lipped about what's coming up & how their eShop/OS stuff will work and the fact that they haven't really started their marketing blitz yet. While I'm sure the upcoming Nintendo Direct will psyche me up for the console's launch, it'll almost certainly be overshadowed in my mind with what's coming up by March next year!
-
Nah, they figured that Big Daddy and New Dante were a better representation of Playstation's history :p BTW, really looking forward to trying this out next week. Seems the sentiment surrounding the game is actually quite positive! (ignoring the obvious and no doubt hilarious Smash Bros knockoff feeling)
