Very interesting! (I wonder if it might have in-game English language text locked away somewhere...) BTW, you might have a bit of trouble snapping it up anyway, unless you're getting the eShop version... http://ameblo.jp/sinobi/entry-11400191229.html Insane! Even with 500k copies shipped, they still sold through roughly 90% of the stock in the first weekend! This thing is gonna be sold out for weeks

Already beat ya to it Serebii :P http://www.n-europe.com/forum/showpost.php?p=1502797&postcount=4382 http://www.nintendo.co.jp/wiiu/hardware/features/eshop/index.html So it seems that the eShop is also browser based and uses a similar interface design as Miiverse, though it keeps the themed categories that you get from the 3DS eShop Bit weird how the website seems to be contradicting what Nintendo said before regarding transferring points over to the Wii U? Perhaps this is just referring to the old points cards themselves and how they can't be used on the Wii U directly? The lack of specific categories on either of the option racks is a bit worrisome though. I would want to see the different store categories (Virtual Console, WiiWare, Wii U Download Exclusives, Wii U Retail Downloads, Add on Content) be visible at all times Confirmation of HD resolution trailer streaming and the ability to use the eShop while a game is running is nice though There's also confirmation that Nintendo is allowing 3rd parties to sell Online Passes and other service passes/subscriptions there on the eShop as well. Also some info on how Wii download stuff is handled... http://www.n-europe.com/forum/showpost.php?p=1502804&postcount=4385 Looks like you can still use the old Mii Creator - so I guess that means that Wii Miis are stored separately from Wii U Miis (And since the old Wii System Settings are still there, Wii save file/Channel Management might be kept separate too...) SD Card menu is still there, so I'd assume that the old limitations still apply with that. I can't see any mention of a bigger internal partition though (The 3DS gave you double the amount of internal storage space that you got on the original DSi/DSiXL for DSiWare titles, so I reckon it's still possible we might see this at least on Wii U) It also seems that you still have access to the Wii Shopping Channel. So do you really have to buy Wii Ware and Virtual Console games using the same crummy old interface? REALLY!? (That also explains the discrepancy in what Nintendo was saying about points. It seems that Wii Points get transferred to the Wii U's Wii Shopping Channel and can't be used in the new eShop - so your Wii Points get sandboxed off too) Also (going by the extremely rough Google translation), it seems that Wii Channels (the apps) can't be used. I'm not sure if that's just referring to the built in ones like Weather and News, or if that also includes the downloadable ones like Check Mii Out and Everybody Votes

I love the English voiceover for the Pokedex. Makes it feel like I'm holding a real one from the anime (Is it the same guy who voices the Pokedex in the current anime?) The music is so nice as well. I hope we get to hear music like this in Gen 6 Really well made little application. It screams premium quality. Just a shame that you can't use it while actually playing a game, but eh, what can you do

Woah! The credits list for this is MASSIVE! (There's around 25 3D modellers who worked on this! ) No wonder it's so expensive. Makes me scared to think of how expensive and difficult Gen 6 is going to be to develop... (Thank goodness all the Pokemon models are done at least - though they've still gotta do all the different animations and environments...) Also it's voiced in all 6 languages! (RONDODOU!!! )
-
And it's MASSIVE! (Almost 3,500 blocks/430MB!) Dahym! The 6th Gen Pokemon games had better be shipping on at least a 2 or 4GB Card!

Read it again. He says that he can use the Wii U Gamepad's Remote Control function to turn on the Wii U. Therefore, the remote control functionality must be available even when the Wii U is off (Which makes sense, since the IR remote control function would have nothing to do with the console itself)
-
Fallblox is out next week (just saw the trailer on eShop ) Also OMG Pokedex 3D is almost 3,500 blocks!!! (Around 430MB) That's almost twice as large as both NSMB2 and SM3DL!
-
They're looking to do that now. It has an ESRB rating and has already been submitted to Nintendo so it should be coming out in the US shortly. Of course we still have to wait for our rating though... (Oh and we already have an import GB game on our VC service, Sword of Hope 2, so that's not a problem at least )

NSMBU = 2GB Nintendo Land = 3.2GB List of JPN retail titles on the eShop at launch... http://www.neogaf.com/forum/showthread.php?t=498956 Those two games are bigger than I expected them to be! (NSMBU is about 5 times larger than NSMB Wii in terms of file size) Interestingly, it says that more than 2GB/3.2GB is required to download each respective game. I hope that doesn't mean that they're doing the same stupid thing as PS3 and requiring double the amount of space for the installation process (though I guess that could just be referring to the need to have free space available for the save file as well...)
-
They've said before that they're planning on bringing it out in some form in Europe and Japan, but that it's going to be US only at launch.
-
That you CAN do at least http://uk.ign.com/articles/2012/11/08/what-were-learning-about-wii-u

Excellent! Now I just need to know if it can be hooked up to two seperate devices at the same time (My TV and my AV Reciever) and I'm all set Also, shame on these outlets for not giving us more thorough Gamepad wireless range and battery life tests. That would've been the first thing I'd do! I also want to know what kind of limitations are at play with the Wii Mode. Are you stuck with the same old space limitations as before (256MB internal storage partition - with the separate SD Card menu) or do they give you more internal storage to play with this time? I know that Wii Connect 24 has been disabled for Wii Mode, but can you still receive messages from games? Do save files appear alongside Wii U Saves, or is all save data handling done with the legacy menu? You know, these are details we want to know and they're doing nothing! Hell this stuff should all be covered by the manual!
-
NEW PANELS!!! I got Kirby Returns to Dreamland/Kirby's Adventure Wii. Did anyone get anything else? (I hope there's a Skyward Sword one!) Bit weird that they just randomly send out a panel for a game that came out almost a year ago...
-
Yeah, I'm pretty happy with how it's looking so far. The only things I'm really disappointed in at this stage is the lack of cross game voice chat and the inability to playback videos/pictures/music, be it stored or streamed from a PC (The current PS3/360 interfaces and most Reciever/HTPC interfaces are really awful for this. I'd love a more userfriendly way of controlling this stuff!) Both of those things could easily be added later on though. The most important stuff is already up and running at launch and in many ways it's well ahead of other competing services (Miiverse is a huge innovation and could be the biggest thing to happen to gaming since Wii. Just imagine your mum buying a niche game like Rhythm Heaven upon hearing all the people on Miiverse raving about it, instead of Zumba Fitness, or being able to get past a level she's stuck on by asking people for help) Plus it solves the biggest problem with VG messageboards...

If the 3DS is anything to go by, it'll glow a different colour.
-
Those new bundles are probably just for people who won't be getting it on day 1. I do have to admit, it's not a bad way of making up for the delay to those who couldn't get in on time. I'm sticking with my old 32GB NintendoLand pre-order (the one I made back in September). Sick of waiting. I want the damn thing now! I'm not waiting any longer than I have to

That's because he got promoted to Product Marketing Manager (Presumably, he still does some translation work as overseer of NOA Treehouse though)
-
Seems moreso to me that they aren't really that interested in the industry any more. That they're just gonna use games/iOS apps to promote their movies.
-
There's a challenge for purposely skipping as many coins as possible!? NSMB2 players are so screwed...
-
They did have a bit of a push into the industry earlier on, but they've moved away from that now (and pretty much just outsource their licences from time to time now), so I doubt they'll look to make any purchases (Lucasarts doesn't really count since they just got that as a freebie when they bought Lucasfilm)
-
The subtitled version skips over the app screen interface and most of the suspend functionality. It's worth watching the JPN one as well.
-
YEAH! What that guy said! BTW, Miiverse was co-developed by Hatena (Flipnote Studio). Guess that explains why we haven't seen Flipnote Memo... Bloody hell! How could they have not even thought about something like that!? Nintendo's guys really are sleeping under a rock!
-
Oh NICE! You can receive video calls while you're playing a game! (The Home button flashes blue ) You can also do video calls just on the gamepad itself (I am SO using this to watch TV shows and movies alongside distant friends by pointing the Gamepad at the TV screen )
-
Any idea what the the rightmost icon of the 6 is? @Serebii @Fused King Anyone?
-
Disappointed that they didn't show the eShop or any voice chat support, but the rest looks really good. Also seems that you can add friends to your friend's list from directly inside the Miiverse. Nice NSMBU looks like HOT SEX Edit: The Iwata Asks is up for Miiverse! (Japanese only ATM)
