  1. You're probably right, but I can still get excited at the possibility dammit! :p
  2. Yeah me too. It's strange to think that I'm looking forward to having money ripped from my grasp, but I reckon that the Wii U will suddenly stop feeling so far away once it happens (since it could ship at any time afterwards )
  3. I'd say that it's pretty likely that this is what they're shooting for. Here's hoping!
  4. Sounds like a scheduling issue with WB Games to me. Maybe they felt that it was too close to Xmas to have more than two games release on Wii U?
  5. Annoying that I'm gonna end up playing the 2nd game before the first one, but either way I can't wait any more! Is it next week yet?
  6. Midnight tonight will be very nice for you. I'd recommend checking the eShop at that time
  7. Update is online now. VLR is listed as coming tomorrow under the News section, so that's sorted They must've just forgotten to list it in the press release.
  8. Edit: never mind, the game's eShop page now lists a 23/11/12 date. So it should rightfully be coming tomorrow...
  9. Yeah I second this, good idea. Though it should also mention a price watch as well, since I'm sure that some other members who aren't getting a Wii U at launch might want to know where to go to get updates on retailer bundles, price drops and deals.
  10. 8 days to go... Will it still finish before launch?
  11. Heads up for anyone buying from Shopto. It seems that they've finally put up Pro Controllers to buy separately (AFAIK, it wasn't available before)
  12. It's a shame that Toki Tori 2 isn't a launch day game though (supposedly it's hitting in December instead - otherwise I'd be counting it on my own list )
  13. Yeah, only spotted that after I had posted, don't ask how I missed it... (BTW you're quick on the mark there! Caught me before I could stop myself from looking like an idiot )
  14. Yes indeedy do I like Space Harrier (I did break the news here after all ) Here's hoping that Galaxy Fight, Outrun and Afterburner are also getting the S3D treatment too!
  15. Been playing it myself and it's great! When they say that there are countless ways to go about each assassination, they aren't kidding! It might be more linearity designed than past games, but the sheer depth of the level/scenario design more than makes up for it
  16. Wow! The DMC demo is not completely terrible! It's actually not bad at all! A far cry from the messes that Ninja Theory have made before (the controls are actually very responsive!) It doesn't have the combat depth that past DMC games have had (though it's not a brainless button masher) but the shifting environmental stuff is actually pretty well done and leads to some interesting and original platforming mechanics and level design! (Exploration elements seem stronger in this than in the old DMC games too) The guns are pretty much useless (even for juggling) and launching seems way overpowered, but the plethora of enemy types do a decent job of forcing you to mix up your moves and show a bit of the creativity that past titles demanded. The blows have a good amount of heft and weight to them and feel good for the most part (I am not a fan of the cinematic finishers though upon dispatching a whole wave of foes though, needlessly disrupts the gameplay) The lack of a hard lock-on does sting though. It takes away from the precision that defined the series and the game does feel quite forgiving on the whole in regards to timing, the style point system (managed to easily score S rank on my second wave of foes) and the dodge seems really overpowered, but I still actually enjoyed my time with it, even if it doesn't match up to the series pedigree (and I certainly can't say that I liked anything about DMC2, Heavenly Sword or Enslaved!) DINO is still an unlikable little shit and the music/presentation overall is utterly offensive to my senses, but the gameplay is actually not bad. I am pleasantly surprised I won't be buying it, but it's at least not an utter disgrace.
  17. Supposedly the Wii U port was done really well (from a technical perspective - so no slowdown and the graphics look at least as good as the 360 version). With the Wii U bonus modes and extras, plus the 5 player support and off TV Play, I see no reason to choose the 360 one over the Wii U version.
  18. SEGA are finally releasing games on the eShop! They're starting their own series of 3D Classics, starting with Space Harrier! http://www.gamer.ne.jp/news/201211210023/ So this... ...is reborn! No release date yet, but what a great choice to start off with! (I bet that Super Hang On and Outrun will be next) I guess this also explains why Arika have been fairly quiet recently
  19. If it were a buffed up version of Soul Calibur 5, rather than Tekken, I would've bought it in a heartbeat. I appreciate the effort they've put into it, but I just don't like Tekken's gameplay.
  20. That's really encouraging coming from NWR! They don't piss about when it comes to reviews and aren't afraid to blast anything they don't like. It's clear that this game is something special. I reckon this'll stand alongside Sands of Time and Beyond Good & Evil as the best 3 games they've ever made
  21. Nintendo Land, NSMBU and ZombiU for dead cert. Will probably also get Sonic All Stars Racing Transformed as a download (RRP is £30 and is no cheaper elsewhere at retail) Download wise (permitting they come out on launch day), I'm getting Nano Assault Neo, Little Inferno and Chasing Aurora.
  22. Ok one more (I swear that this is the last one I'll post!) This should be Nintendo's official mandated Press Asset screengrab of Miiverse from now on
  23. This was posted in the ZombiU community on Miiverse
  24. More importantly, what everyone seems to be forgetting here is that it would increase the video streaming latency; defeating the whole purpose of the Gamepad in the first place... And besides, the Gamepad still has a higher DPI than the iPad 2 and the iPhone 3GS. It's more than good enough for what it is. Your HDTV is hardly a retina display anyway.
