  1. Just got Aeroporter. This game is nuts! It's an action puzzler that becomes overwhelmingly difficult very quickly (good God it becomes a complete mind fuck after just a couple of minutes. Good luck getting a tetra combo!)

    Love it! :D

  2. Its silly. Take COD: Black Ops. Annually the biggest selling franchise in the West and it took forever just for this game to be confirmed as getting a Wii U release. Why delay that?

There could be a bunch of 3rd party stuff coming out but not letting people know this only creates negative thoughts. 6 months ago I was basically thinking that the only 360 titles I would be getting were the exclusive games and all multi platform titles I would get on the Wii U. I don’t think this is going to be the case though we still don’t know what games defiantly have a Wii U release date and which ones do not as the whole NDA thing with 3rd parties causes nothing but more questions.

Agreed. Nintendo are just shooting themselves in the foot with this (literally!) short sighted strategy. It's doing them more harm than good.

Edit: OK, NOA have just put out their Q1 release list for 3DS and Wii U and.... oh dear...

So much for Nintendo's "Launch Window" lineup...

  3. It'll be coming. If there's one thing I've learned, any thing that has its title translated for Street Pass transmissions with foreign country 3DS's eventually gets localised.

All you're waiting on is the settings menu to be translated, every thing else is in English.

Of course it'll come. There hasn't been a single DD only title from SEGA that has remained Japan only yet and as you said, it's just a settings menu that need be translated.

It's just a matter of time...

  4. Sonic and SEGA All Stars Racing Transformed demo is up on the eShop!

    Took their time!

BTW, I really like how demos can just appear at any time, instead of just always being lumped in with the main Thursday update :)

  5. I can't remember where it leaked from (probably Linked in), but supposedly a Wii U version of Splinter Cell Blacklisted is in the works for Wii U.

With Ubisoft being bestest buddies with Nintendo though, it shouldn't really come as a surprise.

Also, it seems that an NDA is still in place for 3rd party titles... The Wii U version of F1 Race Stars was constantly denied to exist when the publisher was asked about it. Fast forward a few months and it suddenly & magically appeared on NOE's Q1 release list...

  6. Patterns and trends have nothing to do with a console having no games being released. There is no excuse for such a barren schedule.

You remind me of people this time last year who said the vita would be fine and there was no problem etc etc. 1 year later sales still in the gutter. It's not a good look.

To be fair, Wii Fit U and Game & Wario at the very least are both due for release in the next 2 months.

They should both shift some hardware.

  7. WOW! Pandora's Tower is actually getting a US release this year?!

    http://www.gaming-age.com/2013/01/xseed-games-announces-pandoras-tower-exclusively-for-the-wii/

XSEED Games, an independent-minded publisher, today announced they have come to an agreement with Nintendo that will bring the highly anticipated action role-playing title, Pandora’s Tower, exclusively to Wii in Spring 2013. Developed in Japan by Ganbarion, Pandora’s Tower takes the classic fairytale theme of a maiden in distress and adds a violent twist, with the protagonist setting out to slay over a dozen giant monsters and collect their flesh in order to free his beloved from an evil curse. The agreement with Nintendo grants XSEED Games exclusive publishing rights to Pandora’s Tower in North America.

“It’s fantastic to be bringing such a highly-anticipated title like Pandora’s Tower to such a vocal fan base,” said Shinichi Suzuki, President and CEO of XSEED Games. “North American gamers have been very patient in waiting for this game to be released, and we’re confident they will be pleased when they get their hands on the title.”

NO FREAKING WAY! Operation Rainfall is officially a success now! :D

Captain Rainbow, Kiki Trick, Fire Emblem 3 DS please! (If PT can get a release at this late a stage, then so can these!!!)

  8. A little bit of hyperbole there don't you think?

Combined sales of both games is still less than total Wii U sales (694k games vs 715k systems) meaning they aren't even selling one of either to Wii U customers and they sure as heck aren't selling both to them.

And it's not like in the US and here where the Premium comes with NintendoLand anyway which could get scewed if bundle figures were left out - it's a none factor.

Digital sales may knock it up a little to either game to one Wii U but no one can say for sure.

I was just talking about this week, not the LTD figure...

  9. I don't think that they can afford to wait all the way until E3 before announcing big future titles mind you. They need to drum up some excitement long before then in order to give the Wii U some momentum!

Of course they can't unveil all of their hand before then (because they're gonna get crushed underneath a sea of hype from the two new consoles at E3!), but come on! They need to throw us a frickin' bone here!

  10. It's not bad, but it's not standard.

It's not the end of the world. Drops like this ALWAYS happen

Yeah of course and it just feeds into the currently popular Wii U = Doomed narrative.

That being said, it is a worse drop than I expected. PS3's first post-Xmas drop was from 69,944 the previous Xmas week to 25,531; and I was expecting the Wii U to fare a bit better than that...

On the bright side though, the NSMBU and Nintendo Land attach rates are simply incredible! Pretty much every Wii U buyer is also buying either one or both of those two games! :o

  11. Every console sees massive drop, which happens every bloody year

    Only Nintendo should worry.

They should, until they make it so the entire world is in a temporal loop of nothing but December, then THEY MUST ACT

A drop to 20K immediately after Xmas is pretty bad though. I was expecting it to at least hold steady at around 35K...

  12. New trailer!

Raiden is a psychopath now who "gets off" on CUTTING GUYS TO SHREDS and being a "2 Percenter?"

This is all kinds of dumb and stupid. LOVE IT!

Also he now has a devil trigger style mode where normal attacks take off body parts!?

    Is it February yet?
