Ding Dong! The Witch Is Dead!
-
Yeah, Hamster have really ramped up their efforts with Namco and Konami titles in particular over the past few months. They have the arcade version of Gradius 3 as well! If you like bollock hard Tetris as well? I highly recommend Tetris: The Grandmaster 1 & 2!

Nothing to do with Sony, I just hate seeing blatant nepotism on display and such two-faced BS; especially after these same outlets were only too happy to post about Capcom, Rockstar, CDPR and Nintendo when the same thing happened to them. Oh, and I didn’t get a ban on Fami because I had a pop at Sony, ironically, I got a ban because I had a pop at Nintendo (only was a temp ban, I just choose not to post there anymore because the discourse just isn’t interesting. I’m not interested in a Nintendo circle jerk).
-
One would think that an outlet that purports to report generalist gaming news would deem a 10 year Marvel/Sony exclusivity deal to be newsworthy, especially when we know how much percentage margins and budgetary amounts are involved. Hardly the same thing as choosing not to spoil a gaming hype event (or even hiding it behind a spoiler warning jump, like what sites should be doing if they just want to be PR hype men). Don't purport to be a legitimate news outlet if you don't want to report news. Then report where you can find the information then. Even the most tacky and repulsive of tabloid news outlets will cite their sources.
-
Piss off with that. The Capcom Ransomware leak and the Nintendo Gigaleak did the same thing, didn't stop everyone from reporting on it. Nobody is asking the likes of Gamespot to post private emails and personal data. But they fundamentally have a duty to report on the myriad of newsworthy information coming out of this leak. The only reason why they're not doing it is because they're scared of the repurcussions and because they want to protect their friends who work at Sony/Insomniac. It's nepotistic bullshit. They are fundamentally failing at their job. And if they're hoping that their nepotistic grandstanding is going to help protect their friends? They're sorely mistaken, as it's going to get widely reported by forum posters and Youtubers who are now doing their job for them; so they're fundamentally failing at protecting their friends too!
-
BTW, tangently related, but man, some so called "journalists" are really showing their Sony dick sucking arses here by posturing that they won't be covering the leaks... Of course, this didn't stop them from happily posting about the Capcom Ransomware leaks... or the Nintendo Gigaleak... or the GTA 6 leaks... But when it comes to their precious Sony? Oh no... won't someone please think of our poor whittle billion dollar corporations, our nepotist friends and our PR access! When even fucking IGN are clowning on you and are reporting the story? You know that you have fundamentally failed at your job. Not that their posturing will amount to anything anyway, but this really boils my piss to see such utter contempt for their own readership

Come to think of it… I’m surprised that nothing about the PS5 Pro was leaked alongside all this other info. Maybe it’s not real after all?
-
You don't need to make stuff up, turns out that we got some more up to date figures and it seems that Rift Apart did end up making a profit after all. In fact... we got a leak that shows the sales figures for EVERY PS4 and PS5 first party published title! The list is way too massive to show here, so I'll just link you to the relevent thread on the Install Base forums... ... TBH I think I'm most impressed by the sales of the PS2 on PS4 downloads... they're nothing to sneeze at! And it's shocking how quickly Sony abandoned the venture when they were making healthy sales with such little investment needed!
-
Actually it has been confirmed to be real...
-
And this is why we got the PS+ price hike... Sony are very afraid of losing that PS+ revenue from the ABK acquisition.
-
Man, there's some juicy tidbits coming out of this leak... These royalties are nuts! How are Sony even making any money off of these hardware bundles!? Also interesting to see that Sony's Marvel games will specifically not block the re-release of any Marvel games from the 1990s... Are they planning on re-releasing some classic Marvel titles sometime soon then? Pretty lukewarm sales overall considering how big they are on consoles... Sony have a long way to go with their PC efforts. https://www.installbaseforum.com/forums/threads/insomniac-games-leak-multiple-software-unit-sales-and-profitability-for-past-and-future-releases-read-threadmark.2214/ Yup. R&C Rift Apart lost money overall. Crazy that it didn't even manage to break even with 2.2m sales! Also, Spiderman 2 had a total budget of $315m!?!? This industry is so fucked... Oh, what's that? Spiderman 3 is going to break even at the same 5.5m as Spiderman 2, despite costing 70m more to develop!? I smell a price hike coming... Behold! Marvel at your future! Also deets on PC ports... Finally. It seems that an alpha build of Insomniac's Wolverine has also leaked online... no doubt you'll be seeing footage from that build hit the Youtubes pretty soon.
-
Yeah, not surprised that Insomniac are being turned into a Marvel factory. There's just too much money to be made from their licenses. The next R&C will no doubt be billed as a tech demo for the PS6; much like how Rift Apart was used for PS5.

He's not a founder, but he did start out by working in their original flagship store in London Tottenham Court Road and produced the original Computer Exchange cartoon advertisements that appeared in the gaming magazines of the time. https://www.rockpapershotgun.com/gaming-made-me-charlie-brooker-part-2 He also had a stint as a game reviewer in magazines like PC Zone back in the early 90s; so he does have some legitimate history within the video game industry!

Oh. And while we’re at it. Just because the guy who came up with the initialism wants it to be read out as an acronym, doesn’t mean that they get their way. I am NOT calling it “sex”! It’s C.E.X, and you are NOT getting that cheap joke out of me!
-
??? It's a basic portmanteau! It literally means Game Frequently Asked Questions! How can "GameFAQs" be an initialism if "FAQ" is itself an initialism? What does the "G.A.M.E" part stand for then? A "FAQ" doesn't mean anything as an acronym, it only makes sense as an initialism. The Portuguese were true soothsayers.
-
BTW, on the topic of pronunciation shaming... Here's an Australian SEGA advert that'll make your skin crawl...
-
Oh God no! I'm not a monster! TBH though, I think that "Sness" might actually bother me more these days. Come on! Everyone knows that SNES is spelt with a Z!
-
Seems that most people these days turn to making flashy YouTube walkthrough videos, rather than detailed ef aie queue guides that you can easily search through and reference spoiler free and conveniently… It’s the children who are wrong!
-
You've been browsing Reset Era too much... Basically Americans pronounce it as "facks" because they don't facking understand how acronyms work. Now. Ima gonna go off and play some Snez.
-
Bloody hell @RedShell! Those new stages are incredible! I have no bloody idea how you pulled off the moving lava with the Shantae stage, but mad props!
-
You didn't ask for it, but here it is anyway! The only lists that matter... Each list goes from lowest to highest. That's me done. In short? Yeah, I'm ready for Switch 2 now; and I like my old tat!
-
Good purchase. It’s a solid controller. A friend of mine has one of them and he swears by it.

I know that this interview was posted a few days ago, but man... what a gut punch... https://www.ign.com/articles/zelda-tears-of-the-kingdom-interview-nintendo-eiji-aonuma-hidemaro-fujibayashi Aonuma has no understanding of why people might not like the open world direction the series has taken and no understanding of what made traditional Zelda games so enjoyable. Zelda is truly dead

You really should. Radical Dreamers is legit. Way more fun than Chrono Cross! I mean... it's a survival horror text adventure! It's rad as hell! And very unique, even 26 years on from its original release. It's also like 2 hours your first time through, it's not a long game.
