Very short notice, but there ya go! Coming to Switch, PS4 and... wait... that's it?
-
I’d question their legitimacy… DS bootlegs are super common now. It’s like how GBA carts used to be throughout the late 2000s on eBay when it comes to DS games right now.

Agreed. Smash Bros is such a tough act to follow that even Smash Bros itself basically has no future now after Ultimate. That's why it's not worth trying to go head to head against it, you're never going to come off looking favourable. You need to do something drastically new and original.

It's out... oh no... the addiction begins all over again!

Wow. Star Trek Rivals' inspiration is... pretty blatant. I kinda low-key love how brazen it is

Reviews are coming out now, and it sounds like performance is pretty good on Switch; with FPS drops only really occuring in co-op. https://www.nintendolife.com/reviews/switch-eshop/vampire-survivors Good to hear

So I just found out that this is a thing... https://www.acer.com/gb-en/spatiallabs https://store.acer.com/en-gb/acer-ds1-monitor-asv15-1b-blue-ff-r1wek-001 Acer have just recently brought out a range of autostereoscopic PC displays and laptops, and it's actually available to buy commercially! It's not some sort of fancy prototype pie-in-the-sky concept device, it's a real thing that you can buy and use with your own Windows PC today! Oh baby! That's the good stuff! It's basically exactly like the New Nintendo 3DS screen, complete with eye tracking... except that it's a 4k display that can show S3D content in full 1080p resolution And in a shocking move, they're actually working with game developers to give games a proper stereoscopic 3D makeover. And this isn't just your typical PC gamer shite that I'm not interested in... because they've actually given the full S3D treatment to the likes of Octopath Traveller 1 & 2, actual good games that I would actually care about! If you know anything about me, you know that I fucking love stereoscopic 3D! Right now it costs a bomb, but I really hope it does well and we start seeing larger versions of the display, prices come down and more games get the S3D treatment. I'm really happy to see someone push autostereoscopic 3D tech once again, I've missed it so much with the Switch. Acer does what Nintendon't!

Figured that with the release of TCG on the GB/GBC NSO service, we could do with a dedicated trading & battling thread. So here it is! As this game on NSO has full online battling and trading support, this thread is dedicated to those looking to fill out their TCG GBC decks and do some battles with fellow card fanatics. Also, since Card Pop! is a thing that is fully supported in this NSO re-release, you can also use this thread to find people up for a Card Pop! Note that there are two cards that are only obtainable via Card Pop!, as stolen from Serebii... https://www.serebii.net/tradingcardgamegb/cardpop.shtml Venusaur (PXX) Mew (PXX) Let the Children’s Card Games begin!

I just pulled off what must be the single greatest comeback in all of Pokemon TCG history... From this... ... to this! Video capture of the last 30 seconds here (If Twitter/X decides to stop crapping itself)... Feeling pretty dang good right about now

He's not kidding. The Seniors match is bonkers! Seniors BTW, the other finals are timestamped for you below if you fancy watching those as well... Juniors Masters

Yeah, make sure that you save immediately after each Gym Leader, before you get ambushed by Ronald and his offer of a Promo card... As always, Mario & Luigi offers the correct advice

Nintendo Switch Online + Expansion Pack: N64 & SEGA Mega Drive (& GBA!!)
Dcubed replied to Julius's topic in Nintendo Gaming
Can really vary quite wildly. Sometimes it ends up being flawless and sometimes it's lag central. Kind of luck of the draw really. I jumped in with WiFi. I normally use Ethernet when we play N64 online, but I was only jumping in for a few mins so I couldn't be bothered to set up with Ethernet this time (Wasn't even gonna be able to join originally, as I was supposed to working a night shift at work originally but ended up having to call in sick). Using Ethernet does help a bit, but our home connection can't usually handle 3 Switches trying to play N64 online at once. N64 NSO is just more demanding than most other Switch online games (which I guess makes sense since it's translating button presses over the internet in real-time for four players); so I would recommend sticking with Ethernet whenever possible when playing N64 games online. The other NSO apps aren't as demanding as the N64 one though. -
There are five in fact. Ironically though only 2 of them can actually evolve! Because apparantly Surfing Pikachu and Flying Pikachu are not actually Pikachu... or some junk. Anyway, just got my 4th Medal. Got jammy with the water gym leader getting no extra Basic Pokemon at the start of the match, so I beat them in two turns

I honestly thought it was gonna be an advert for some sort of newfangled PokeShoes. Was left thoroughly disappointed!

That’s what I get for being lazy I’ll fix it when I get home.

Nintendo Switch Online: Game Boy / Game Boy Color
Dcubed replied to Julius's topic in Nintendo Gaming
A month should be long enough. You get cards pretty quickly, and really, you don't need 100% completion to have a good deck in this game. Of course, I'd be up for some online friendly matches well before then! -
Appropriate for today's announcement... Ichiro Shimakura's soundtrack for this game is hot fire! He would go on to compose the soundtracks for Mario Party 3, 4 and Advance afterwards; then Suikoden V of all things before retiring into a managerial role for other Hudson/NDCube composers. Bit of a shame, but the few soundtracks he did do are all top shelf!

CARD POP WORKS!!!!!!! IR PORT SUPPORT IS IN!!!!!!!!! Genuinely didn't expect them to support the feature. That's a very nice surprise! It means that, unlike the 3DS release, it's actually possible to achieve 100% completion this time around So that means that so far, the only missing feature from the GB/GBC NSO is Game Boy Printer support (which you can simulate using screenshots anyway I suppose). Not that the IR port was the most critical feature or anything, but it's really nice to have a complete experience this time around. There's a fair few games that did support it on the GBC for sharing data and unlockable stuff... Will look forward to playing some online TCG matches with you guys. This game is awesome! -

The minigames are top shelf stuff, but once again, the main game is basically unbeatable without Transfer Pak support; making this a bit of a pyrrhic victory. -

Online Pokemon TCG is real nice. Wonder if Card Pop works... This is our first GBC game with IR Port support, so it'll be interesting to see what support (if any) the NSO emulator has for it... Yeah, that would've been a real megaton that actually would've justified that 35 minute snorefest. -

I've got it, but I haven't started playing it yet. Kinda tempted to just wait it out until Switch 2 comes out at this point, where it'll probably look and run much better.
