I've got it, but I haven't started playing it yet. Kinda tempted to just wait it out until Switch 2 comes out at this point, where it'll probably look and run much better.

The Plucky Squire - 2024 - Switch, PS5, Series S/X, PC

More publishers need to do Delay Directs. They're great! They nailed the vibe here -
@Julius Grave of The Fireflies being in B-tier instead of SSS completely invalidates your list

Better update that thread title @Glen-i... It's 2024 now. -
@Julius Doesn't explain the lack of a PC or PS5 port though. Bit odd really. Makes me wonder if Nintendo commissioned the port and then the PS4 version was just a bit of a gimme. Anyway. Either way, it's nice to see Rockstar's previously anti-Nintendo stance continue to crumble. Really does seem like Dan Houser was always the main blocking factor, given that Rockstar's Nintendo support really started after he was forced out of the company. Bodes well for future Nintendo console support from them

It's $49.99 in the US (So probably £39.99 here in Blighty). Interestingly, the port has been done by Double Eleven, a studio founded by ex Rockstar staff in 2009. Guess they've finally come full circle!

Not quite the Capcom VS crossover I was expecting, but... cool! Sure! Why not?

I’m not sure if it really counts as a Smash-A-Like, because it’s not really a “fighting” game per-say, but it certainly takes enough inspiration from Smash that it deserves a mention in the conversation at least… Lethal League, and its sequel Lethal League Blaze are a genuinely unique take on the platform fighter that is half Smash Bros, half Squash. If you haven’t played either game? I strongly recommend you do! There’s nothing else quite like it out there, it’s fast & frenetic fun that certainly has a lot of Smash Bros’ DNA in it, but it’s absolutely its own thing… something that most other platform fighters don’t pull off. The art style and music is also sick AF! I say that if you’re gonna take inspiration from Smash Bros, you can’t just copy what that game is doing. We already have Smash Bros, nobody wants discount Smash Bros. Give us something new and fresh that is inspired by Smash Bros instead! BTW, small aside, but the developer that made Lethal League and LL Blaze (Team Reptile) are currently making Bomb Rush Cyberfunk, which looks superb! Anyone who even remotely likes Jet Set Radio should be keeping their eye on it

Ladies and Gentlemen. I present to you, the most British game ever made… It’s an Amiga, generating a Teletext version of Worms with a real Teletext signal

We’re getting pretty close to that time of the year where Nintendo need to announce something to get people to re-sub to NSO once again… Classic Pokemon games on NSO would certainly do the trick

Thanks for the games guys. I missed car part theme nights

This data just came out today (these papers get released annually). It is current as of December 31st 2022. Here's the complete thread that just came out with compiled data that includes non-Nintendo platforms... (note that "domestic" refers to Japan only) https://www.installbaseforum.com/forums/threads/2023-cesa-games-white-paper-additional-shipment-data-domestical-and-international.1847/ Obviously the data is 8 months out of date at this point, but it gives us an insight beyond the top 10 and beyond the million-selling-within-one-quarter that we usually get.

More details from the CESA Japan White Paper for various titles (Sales current as of December 2022), breakdown stolen from the Install Base forums... Justice for Shadows of Valentia at last!

So... uhh... Vampire Survivors Directer's Cut is a thing! I hope this is the version that we're getting on Switch! I want a level with 300 playable chickens!

I used to think so myself (especially before SMBW was announced and when we thought a 2023 release for Switch 2 was on the cards), but we're getting surprisingly close now... If Nintendo remains flat YoY for the rest of this financial year? Switch will end up selling 144.07 LTD... Assuming that Switch 2 is due to launch in November 2024, they'll just have to sell 11 million in its last year to beat PS2 in that scenario. I think it's quite doable. SMBW (Nintendo's last real unfired big gun for the system) should ensure that they'll at least match last year's Q3, at which point, it's just a matter of time.

Q1 sales are out now... https://www.nintendo.co.jp/ir/pdf/2023/230803_2e.pdf https://www.nintendo.co.jp/ir/en/finance/software/index.html Only roughly 25 million left to go now until the Switch dethrones the PS2! Also, this is pretty funny... Ahh yes. "Princess Peach will star as the main character in a brand new game". My favourite game!

Oh wow! https://music.apple.com/us/album/xenoblade-chronicles-definitive-edition-original-soundtrack/1699314520 https://music.apple.com/album/xenoblade-chronicles-3-original-soundtrack/1699333911 Nintendo actually put the Xenoblade DE and Xenoblade 3 soundtracks up for sale on iTunes! I'm pretty sure that this is a first outside of the Pokemon series!

Worth noting that they're quite cool to use with a MiSTer or Analogue Pocket + Dock though. They're standard Bluetooth, so they can be used with things other than Switch (I certainly get more use out of mine with those non-Switch devices!). Just wish that you could charge them with USB-c like the other NSO controllers though... Thank God they dropped the silly Joy-Con rail gimmick after these ones, 'cause these are a total PITA to keep charged!
-
And it's back! Very cool of them to actually go back and fix things for the Wii U diehards.

INTERNETS ARE BACK!!! Me and @Glen-i should be back IN this week

Sounds amazing, looking forward to the dreck

Wow! We’re almost done already? Would’ve thought that there would be much more (especially the crappy LCD games! Where are the rest of the crappy LCD games!?!?). Congrats though @Cube Which one is your fave? (And which one is the ultimate baktag?)

I’ll believe it once we start getting tech spec and photo leaks. If Ubisoft aren’t repeatedly leaking every single facet of this system? Then it doesn’t exist.
