  1. I'm going for Wind Waker, Okami, and Bioshock. Agree with Mario Galaxy as well. Definitely an art style overcoming the lack of power in the console.

I love love love Bioshock though. I want to play it again :)

  2. lol samething happened when I played it and I never touched the game again.

I might try again, my Dad bought it me on the way back from a trip to China. I played it the first day then not for 18 months. Played it for the first time again today.

  3. After feeling bad for playing Hitman only once in the 18 months I've had it when it was a present I decided to give it a go.

I had to change the switch on my AV cable to composite and change the display setting to PAL 60 then switch it back to component before it would play...

Playing it has put me in a bad mood for the whole day. The controls in that game are so annoying. I was pressing the button for strangle and it just wasn't doing it. I have no clue what I was doing wrong. I then got killed because it wasn't doing what I wanted, and it sent me back to the start of the mission.

    WTF :blank:

  4. Sure it's just not you not used to the playstation pad? Also a first person game usually is easier to hit enemies than in 3rd person because you've more closer to the view point, hence the enemies having a bigger area to hit. Can't say i really had problems myself hitting the enemies myself.

The pistol was indeed powerful, probably done that way because it's your saviour weapon, kinda like the pistol was in Halo 1, so even if you was down to the last bits of pistol ammo, you didn't have to think "Oh shit I'm screwed now!"

I totally agree. I'm not even a big fan of the PS controller and I thought it worked great. At no point did I think there was a single thing wrong with the aiming.

I did think there was too much shooting and not enough of the jumping/climbing which I thought worked even better than the shooting. Enemies were also a bit too generic and seemed to be the same 3 guys around every corner. I think these things make it widely accepted that this is a four star game.

I think some people had a problem with the 2 main characters being generic as well, although I actually found it refreshing that they seemed like normal people. This was also a conscious decision as well by the development team.

  5. Well done. Say goodbye to your life and other games right now. Should of stayed out whilst you had the chance matey.

To make yourself better learn to use the BR like a pr0. Thats my advice for now.

I suck at using that weapon lol. Still, glad I'm finally using my Live subscription.

  6. Sweet Jesus. Halo 3 is so fucking addicting! I can't believe the years I've spent ignoring Halo, and now after a casual game I can't stop playing the fecking thing. I could sit there for hours playing. Glad I've got a long weekend this week. :)

  7. Well it is a games console, first and foremost, so yeh its pretty loud, pretty much all the time.:heh:

But yes you are right. When I put my 360 on without playing a game, its not too loud. But with a game, bloody hell the machine comes to life!

Lol, I only mentioned that because someone mentioned film watching on their console :)

I actually won a game of Halo 3 today!! It's such a good game when your not getting your arse kicked!:heh:

  8. Well my first proper play of my USA PS3 was a good one, got Uncharted and completed it in three relatively short sittings but it was enjoyable.

My only main gripe with the system so far is that it froze once on Uncharted :S I'm hoping it was just a software issue and not a hardware problem, like I say it's only happened once so *touch wood* it's fine.

Making some nice progress in Ninja Gaiden Sigma, was thinking of picking up Ratchet and Clank but then realised I already have more than enough to play on my 360 atm as it is. :heh:

Watched a Bluray on it, Underworld Evolution... (it came with the machine) good film, average plot, looked and sounded nice though so I can't complain but I know there are much better Blurays out there so I may get some more at some point.

Overall though I'm really liking my PS3 and I still haven't even set it up online yet lol must get around to that... :blank:

The wait until June 12th continues.

Mine froze once in Uncharted as well. Luckily the game had auto saved literally 2 seconds before. It also froze a ton of times when trying to set up my PSN stuff. And it's froze once on the web browser. It's froze more times than my 360 actually.

Still it's mostly been the one time of setting up PSN, usually it works fine.

I watched Ratatouille last night on Blu Ray. Decent film if a little ridiculous. Looked excellent on Blu Ray though.

I've been looking at different games and I think Dark Sector will be my next PS3 game. Not sure just yet but it looks decent.

  9. Never?!!!! ;)

I love GTA, i know it's a guilty pleasure among the gaming community, but it's so gangster and cool and has so much freedom!

This will obviously be epic and a record-breaker next month!

My local Blockbuster is taking preorders, but you must pay £5 up front because it's in such high-demand or something....

Actually I did play the original one. But since they went 3D I've not played them.
