  1. Yup, sounds like something I would say. :heh:

The story is pretty good, its a bit generic but its executed really well. I thought the fighting was a bit meh. Its real time but it seems a bit hacky-slashy.

I was only on it for just over a week and our debug version crashed almost every other second and I didn't really have time to grasp the more intircate details, the story is done really well though.

If I were Eurogamer I'd give it 6/10.

What would you give it if you were you?

  2. I mean can you use Singstar mics on Rock Band? Sorry, this whole compatibility thing is confusing me. :heh:

If you can use PS2 Singstar mics on Rock Band, can you also use them on the PS3 version?

Oh Lol, thought you meant the other way around! :p These peripherals really should just be standard.

  3. Awesome. I just want "Phoenix - If I Ever Feel Better". My favorite song ever. Plus I can as far as I am aware I can use the mic for Rock Band. (Correct me if I'm wrong anyone!!)

I think they have to be singstar ones. I'd do some research on that, because I'm pretty sure you can't. Think you can use a PS2 singstar mic though.

  4. I'm surprised no one has mentioned the Universal Studios game. I'm pretty sure it was a launch game on the GC. You have to pick up trash, so degrading.

I was just about to say that game. I almost wanted to buy it just to see how bad it was.

Also Sonic Adventure DX was absolute shite. The Dreamcast game was decent in its day but it was starting to show it's age. The truely terrible stuttering framerate made it unplayable and took away the thing the game had going for it which was the speed.

Also agree with Sonic Heroes. That was bollocks.

  5. I still can't get on with the games. It's just the wandering around not really knowing what to do that I hate about them. Because you didn't have enough ammo to kill all the zombies when it came to back tracking it was all the more harder.

I do like the idea of them though. That's why I have Resident Evil on Gamecube. Also quite like 4 but got stuck and then sold it rebought it and never really bothered to play through again.

  6. I didn't have any issues with the controls although I didn't play a lot, in fact the fact that attacking now needs timing instead of random button mashing makes the fights less dull, and the brush is awesome to use, it feels like an extension of your hand.

Heard mixed reports so I guess it depends on the individual really. I'm still getting it anyway.

  7. If there's one thing Bioshock doesn't need, it's a multiplayer. Especially not a co-op mode, that'd be missing the point of the game entirely.

It'll be worth buying for the four people in the world who own a PS3 but not a PC or a 360. Absolutely excellent game.

Totally agree with that. I might have to play through the game again. Loved it. Took a while to get into it but once I did I couldn't put the game down.

  8. Anyone played both versions? I didn't play much of the PS2 version but got the Wii version pre ordered.

Are the control issues specific to the Wii version or is it just that the brush strokes are difficult to get right in either versions?

  9. Getting slightly bored of this game already. I still don't understand all the hype surrounding GTA as a franchise. I'm not that far in the game, does it get better later on?

  10. Agree with LBP and Blu Ray as factors for PS3. It's basically why I have one. Though if you only have a Wii right now it seems unlikely that you would have a HDTV, so Blu Ray might not be that important.

  11. Well... seeing as I have both, my opinion will probably be quite constructive.

I avoid being a fanboy type!

With that said, I am mainly an Xbox360 player... but the year before the PS3 came out, I was hooked on the first next gen offering and it was hard to turn back to Sony.

Im sure youll make the right decision, they are both great consoles!

I think you've got it pretty much spot on. I would look at games available for each and decide based on that. How much do you really want to play Metal Gear?

Banjo, Viva Pinata, Fable 2, and Gears 2 are all looking excellent right now, but then so is Wipeout HD, Resistance 2 and Metal Gear, so it depends what you want to play.

Xbox 360 is my choice though.
