I did find that it was easier with characters with long range, as I can stand back and attack. I usually use Talim though who is obviously the opposite.
I never played enough of SC1 and 2 to get properly good, so hoping to really get into this one.

Whats the best way to beat a button masher? If I'm fighting someone that just hammers the same button over and over again I can't seem to get a hit in to break out of the constant attacks.

Yeah, I Googled it and only found stuff about the PS3 one having no rumble but there's no option in the 360 one either. Seems a bit weird. Would have been so hard to add to either version?

Have all of the other Soul Caliburs had rumble? Seems weird that this doesn't support it.

It's surprising the difference the added weight makes to the Dual Shock 3 makes. Feels like such a better controller than the Six Axis.

That's how I feel. It annoys me but I love playing it. Although it does make my eyes go a bit weird. You know how yours eyes are when you just wake up? Thats how the game makes me feel.

Just played some of the arcade mode. Glad I got this, it still feels like the same great Soul Calibur game from before.

That's quite strange...if I were you, maybe try get a replacement from Nintendo as it could get worse.

Strange.
The Wii I have is the most quiet disk-based console I know of. If you pause certain games (No More Heroes is the only game I have that does this) make the console make a klicking sound when you pause at certain parts of certain missions which i find kind of annoying.
Has the quality gotten better over time on the 360?
The controller error was something I read about in a gaming mag a few months after the 360's launch.
As I said, I think the worst of it is over and a big deal is made of any that break now simply because it's 'that issue' again. Sort of like 'here's yet another one' when in reality it's down to a more acceptable number. PS3 is still a more reliable machine, but with the 3 year warranty on Xbox there's not really anything to worry about.

Wii has a drought but PS3 is a joke? How does that work then? PS3 has plenty of games out this year to justify purchase whereas I have no clue what I'll be playing on my Wii ever again. I suppose finishing Boom Blox and Super Paper Mario. And then........

The controller that came with my console kept disconnecting due to the battery pack being loose but smashing it up the wall fixed that. The other one I have I use all the time and it's worked perfectly.
I've had the console 2 years now and had it replaced last February due to it crashing constantly (no RRoD). This one has worked fine so far.
I would say the worst of the problems are over and a bigger deal is made of any that break just because of the problems over the last 2 and a half years.

Yeah, any other fighters I'd be getting on the PS3. If I buy Street Fighter 4 I'll be getting it on PS3.
