Aha, that must be it. My shining grammar mitigates another potentially spasmodic and lubricious situation.

It never occured to me before, but that's a really good idea. The actual player would probably be really small since a lot of the necessary hardware would already be included in the Revolution. You could connect their power cables and then have them share data wirelessly. Voila, two thin black boxes capable of both gameplay and DVD playback. Much more attractive than my current DVD player. As much as I hate to agree with gaggle, he's right. There's probably a fair few XBox games you should take for a spin, second-hand of-course.

I dunno, I thought Nintendo ON was pretty far-fetched...

I know. :P I'm pretty sure he got the rumour from Rev-Europe's news post on the next Zelda, so I decided to bypass your point (which was still a pretty good point) and make something bizarre up instead. Hell yes, Blizzard would rock that out. Then they'd probably go and make World of Zelda or something equally as awesome. :P

I like it. Set it just before the fall of Hyrule, the dark monsterous forces of Ganondorf versus the might of the Hyrulian army, the ninjas of the Gerudo, the weaponsmiths of the Gorons, the amphibious Zoras and the elite Sheikah. Each team with their own megapowerful heroes and summonable creatures. Shit yes I would play that game. With regards to the first person thing, I don't like the idea but I'd give it a go.

I bloody well hate it.

Valve dont like anyone, McMad, that's why they invented Steam.

Probably bollocks in my honest opinion. Although as a rumour, it bears an uncanny resemblance to this movie: Bunch of nerds design a holographic touch-sensitive PC for $99.

I swore that I would never hear the word "Hypotenuse" again for the rest of my mortal life. Today is a dark day. I just noticed Johnathan's avatar. It's lovely being Lovely, isn't it?

Look, your friend did a bad job. I recognised it sucked and posted thus. Deal with it.

Your apparently very small brain, it seems, if the best attempt you can make at debate is to try and insult me. The article does not raise interesting issues for debate, it simply makes everyone think the author is an idiot. You are only defending him because you know him.

Is that paper Revolution to scale? If so, shit, I could fit that on my book shelf.

HAHAHAHAHAHAHA... oh christ... I read that as "I love man custard." HAHAHAHAHAHAHA!

They had a Duke Nukem game too.

Good news on the Double Dragon front: It lives. In 2003, Million Corp. (a company founded by ex-Technos employees, the people who made the original) developed Double Dragon Advance (published by Atlus), an update to the classic which seemed to go down pretty well. Both are currently active companies, both have a history of developing for Nintendo platforms... *edit* Slightly more on-topic, I would like to see Duke Nukem Forever as a Revolution launch title. It's been in development since dinozords walked the earth, it's going to revolutionize the American FPS, it's a "mature" audience-grabber game, and most importantly it would take me back to the days of Duke Nukem 3D, which I still regard to be one of the greatest games ever developed.

I like Rolf's point. In fact I'd say he's pretty-much spot on. People talk about "mature" games, but honestly, who could be more "mature" than a game's company that's been around for 120 years? A company that built the console business as we know it today. Nintendo are the definition of gaming maturity because they realise that they dont need excess gore or rapper endorsements to sell their wares, they just need to make it fun.

REVs Graphics to be more powerful than THe COmp??
Hostile replied to GamerFX128's topic in Nintendo Gaming
I cant tell you for certain what cubemaps are, but in the Source engine (HL2, Vampire Bloodlines, etc) they're fake reflections. Rather than have the light refract realistically off an object (I believe the term for that is HDR?) they instead create an entity which takes 6 screenshots, one of each possible direction. From these it extrapolates an image of everything in the area. When an object needs to reflect it's surroundings, it reads the surrounding straight from the cubemap images. They look like complicated light bounces but they're actually just 6 JPEG's encoded into the map file. -
The author is remorselessly illogical, pointlessly antagonistic and probably has a very small penis.
-
Well considering they're Nintendo employees, let's certainly hope not.
-
To be honest, the Gamecube was meant to be less powerful than the XBox, but I NEVER saw an XBox game that looked as good as some of my GC titles.

Wow, the Americans have really flimsy power blocks. Just look at that thing... it looks like it'd slide straight out of the wall!
