  1. What HD remakes do you want on Wii U?

Got to go for HD remakes of Goldeneye, Metroid Prime trilogy, Rogue Squadron II: Rogue Leader, and Super Mario 64.
  2. Mario Kart U

I want on-line enabled missions, with leaderboards, like Mario Kart Wii, and they were sorely missed on MK7. Why don't they add them, I thought that was what the spot-pass would be used for.
  3. Assassin's Creed III

I do plan on getting this, but when it's really cheap, like 15 quid or under.
  4. Batman: Arkham City Armored Edition

Bought this from TheHut at launch (for 40 quid), and it was the only thing that didn't arrive, got stopped at customs. They just gave me a refund and re-bought through The Base for 18.99 pounds, when I went to the checkout it showed up as 17.63 (well happy just saved a small fortune, under half the price of what I was willing to pay for it). Now I wait for delivery.
  5. Hi all, Hoping that my UK Wii U will be sent soon. For those of you that do not know I live in Taiwan, formerly a UK resident. I exported a UK Wii U, so that I could have an English experience on the console (and I can pay for eShop games via an UK credit card etc.). I had a Japanese Wii and it was a bit of a nightmare, especially playing text heavy games like Zelda, and forget about calibrating Wii remote sensitivity in FPS games. Here's my conundrum; the UK Wii U comes packaged with AC adapters for both the Wii U console and the Gamepad. I take it that both of these power supplies are working at 240V/50Hz? Can someone check the bottom of them for me. I am really keeping my fingers crossed that they are for multiple electrical currencies, but then again the Wii Ac adapters were not. As you see, Taiwan runs on the American/Japanese electrical system of 110V/60Hz. I wrote a lengthy email to Nintendo UK expressing my concerns and got this reply from customer support: So, in summary they highly recommend the use of first party AC adapters, and I have looked everywhere, unsuccessfully at the current time. The USA Nintendo online store only deliver within their own country, and have a backlog of a few months. I have emailed them recently and am waiting for a response. It looks like it's going to be a waiting game, maybe for a 3rd party to start making them, but I have seen Nyko getting ready to launch a USB Gamepad cable, which may help me with that. Any ideas?
  6. Resident Evil Revelations Wii U

Available in Japan: Premium Set for the princely sum of 42,000 Yen (293 British Pounds).
  7. Super Smash Bros. 3DS / Wii U

Genius!! I bow to your wisdom.
  8. ZombiU

Restarted the campaign mode, and was doing well, until...
  9. The more I think about it, the more I'd like to see Pilotwings on the WiiU, but it has to a massive version with skydiving, pararchuting, etc, making a comeback... Fuck it, put pilotwings into a game with Wii U Sports on Wuhu island together. WUhU island fun, bit of bowling, rowing and then onto gliding.
  10. Nintendo Premium rewards site now up

    Only 463 more to go!
  11. Hi Beni,

Went to add you to my WiiU, but through Miiverse as it allows frind request, and makes it easier, but I can't click the Friend request button. If I add you through the friend list, you have to add me manually also, which is counter-intuitive. So, it's easier to add friends through the Miiverse.

Are you up and running on the friends list yet?

    Lee

  12. Hi Beni,

last message using this, send via Miiverse in the future.

Yeah, I am up and running, just when I'd nearly given up they arrived on Friday morning.

So far so cool, I have barely scratched the surface and feel I need to do a lot more to get to grips with it and fully set-up. The first download install took over 3 hours for me, so I'm not looking forward to all the game installs on top of that. Haven't even played a game yet, though.

    My NNID is : londragon

Thanks for all your help, I'm off to add your NNID.

  13. Need For Speed Most Wanted U

Really hope this doesn't turn out a mess-up. Looking forward to it, and hopefully some time next year, F1 2013.
  14. Hi Beni,

Been a while, but hope you are all set-up with the adapters you needed. How's the WiiU going for you- plugged in yet?

My adapters still haven't arrived, and they have been stuck in Holland for quite a while, nearly 2 weeks. So, I'm losing a bit of hope, but will wait until Friday, which will make it 3 weeks, before I decide to do anything else. I found some sellers on ebay selling the US adapter for the WiiU console at about US$20 (not including postage).

Love the idea of the Nyko triple charge battery for the Gamepad, I may well be tempted with that when I'm set-up. I have bought 4 games with the console, ZombiU, Batman AC, NintendoLand and Tank Tank Tank (for my son, who's more impatient than I am to fire it up).

    Will write if any news,

    Lee

  15. General Gaming Sales/Charts Discussion

What with MS providing subscription packages for their consoles late last year, I can see them pursuing this avenue more. Crazy idea, but does anyone think they'll go for a full subscription plan, so that you can't outright buy their console, but instead pay monthly which includes all online, etc.
  16. Diddy Kong Racing Wii U (Wanted)

I loved this game, but actually preferred the Rare follow up. The one based on the Disney licence "Mickey's Speedway USA". I found the Karts too loose in Diddy Kong, whilst the karts in the Mickey game felt, at least in the fastest speeds, like a proper racing game. It had such a good feeling of tighter control, but unfortunately no adventure mode.
  17. Wii U AC Adapter/Gamepad AC Adapter

Found the website and another that @Rick9999 is on about above, only for wholesale buyers, but as Rick said that means there should be a supply into the market soon. Here; http://www.alibaba.com/trade/search?fsb=y&IndexArea=product_en&CatId=&SearchText=wii+u+ac+adapter and here; http://kailigame.gmc.globalmarket.com/products/details/ac-adapter-for-wii-u-gamepad-wii-u-game-accessories-r-1151116.html Also, found this website that are currently out of stock, but worth checking periodically as they supply for single purchases, here; http://store.richspsxparts.com/newwiiuacadw.html The above link is for the US version, just click through to find the European ones.
  18. Hi Beni,

can see that you signed for yours. You set-up yet?

What are your first impressions of the WiiU?

    Lee

  19. Hi Beni

just checked the tracking for your package from me, and it said they tried to deliver it twice on Monday 7th January, once before noon, and once after, but both times no answer. I don't know where they'll drop it off at now though.

  20. Wii U AC Adapter/Gamepad AC Adapter

Also, if buying a voltage transformer, the Wii U runs at a maximum of 70 Watts, so don't buy a 50W transformer make sure it's 100W to be safe. Yeah, I had 3 emails from NoA and NoE saying that they just could not help me with my problem, that I needed to buy the adapters from Nintendo in the country I was living in, and they completely ignored the fact there is no Nintendo of Taiwan. It just kept going around and around and in the end they were no help and blamed me for buying a Wii U and moving/taking it to a different country saying that my warranty is now invalid, the on-line will not function as sold. I mean thanks, but no thanks. I am so pissed off at them, but still looking forward to when I can plug the machine in. Their extremely inane decision making over region control still doesn't deter me from their great products/games/etc.
  21. Wii U AC Adapter/Gamepad AC Adapter

Well, I ended up exchanging my UK AC Adapters with a new member on the forums. He had exactly the reverse situation as I did. Having US adapters. A swap has been made and both sets of adapters are on-route, only another 2 weeks to go before I find out if my Wii U functions OK after its long journey. Nervous times Thanks @Beni for all your help.
  22. Hi Beni,

    Happy New Year.

    Good news and Bad news.

Bad news first. When my wife and I went to get the delivery tracking number this morning, the parcel was still in the post office waiting for delivery because of the holidays.

Now the good news. So, I re-scheduled the parcel as an express mail service which will arrive in Norway in a week. So, in 7 days you should get your adapters. They also apologised for the delay and gave me the express delivery cheaper than usual.

    A win-win situation.

    Here's the tracking number EE663363294TW

I labelled it as gift for under $20 US, so all's OK there, too.

I have been away for a couple of days visiting friends, so I hadn't read your messages until now. I'm glad the 10% discount looks as if it'll be OK, I'll have to join/sign up for the UK website/eShop.

See you on the WiiU soon, hopefully,

    Lee

  23. Call of Duty: Black Ops 2

Apparently, if you don't finish the Strike-force missions you don't get the 'good' endings. Source ONM review.
  24. Call of Duty: Black Ops 2

Does the Single-player campaign have as many glitches as some websites have suggested. And how are those Strike-force levels I've heard they are totally borked? What's your take on it Kav, as I might pick this up when it gets cheaper in a couple of months.
  25. I have a UK 3DS as well, and I've had no problems using the eShop on that via the UK eShop. With the 3DS it is console specific, so a 3DS bought in Europe will only work on the European 3DS eShop. I should imagine that it'll be the same for the eShop on the WiiU, and if it is I have a UK VISA card so no problems spending on it. So, as you have an American console it'll automatically put you through to the American eShop.

The only downside I can see, may or may not happen, is the Premium Nintendo Network Discount Deal. I read in these forums that someone in our situation, playing a console in a region different from purchase, could get the eShop but not the 10% discount vouchers. We'll both see soon enough though.
