  1. Wii U VC

Great post! I love the 'pink hair' debate/issue.
  2. Wii U eShop Thread

Buy! Toki Tori 2 is one of my all time favourite games!
  3. Wii U eShop Thread

In my experience, the eShop updates at 15:00 CEST/14:00 BST sharp! I've never seen an update late, even by minutes, and I'm usually online on my Wii U this time every week if my schedule allows it.
  4. 3DS Console Codes

    I added you back.
  5. Mario Kart 8 - Online Meet Up Thread

I'm up for a few races now. I see 8 of my 12 friends online play Mario Kart, so how do I join?
  6. Wii U VC

I do. But I would like to play it on my TV, with proper 160>960 scaling! But I won't buy it again since I have the GBA cart, and the Ambassador copy, unless Nintendo sort ut cross-platform purchases. I would pay €1-2 to upgrade though, like from Wii VC to Wii U VC.
  7. A Hat In Time (Kickstarter)

This game looks so incredibly good! I'll probably buy it!
  8. Donkey Kong Country: Tropical Freeze

I found out at the end of world two by coincidence. There is a lot of the UI that could have been better, and should have been better: On-screen information on action of B; should say 'world selection screen' instead of just 'back'. Easier and faster switching of player 2's charater (good example: Super Mario 3D World) Framerate during loading
  9. Wii U General Discussion

That's right. Nintendo supposedly did not release it on disc initially in Europe: http://www.nintendolife.com/news/2014/03/former_criterion_boss_alex_ward_laments_issues_with_releasing_need_for_speed_on_wii_u Crazy!
  10. Wii U eShop Thread

I am so happy that Wii U is getting indie love! There are so many games I look forward to, I can't count them all on my two hands! And Two Tribes, they are, I mean, I just love them! They give my Wii U so much love!
  11. Donkey Kong Country: Tropical Freeze

Judging by the slow motion video, @tapedeck should have won, but it looks the goal barrel's collision box is wider than it is tall. Tapedeck crossed the invisible vertical line at the barrel's leftmost x-value first. Anyway, the game set the rules, so congratulations @RedShell!.
  12. Donkey Kong Country: Tropical Freeze

Wii U Pro Controller, for both my brother and myself!
  13. Donkey Kong Country: Tropical Freeze

You guys are worryingly skilled, finishing 1-1 in 1:38-1:40! My brother and I spent two hours reducing our time from around 2:20 to 1:54! I don't think I have the patience to improve the time any further now.
  14. Donkey Kong Country: Tropical Freeze

This game is a masterpiece. My brother and I played through most of the first two worlds this weekend, and we're both amazed by this game! They actually managed to improve on DKCR! Crazy!
  15. Donkey Kong Country: Tropical Freeze

I am! Both me and my brother are excited! We enjoyd playing Returns together! (Still stuck on level 9-1 though...)
  16. Wii U VC

I'm starting believing Nintendo is run by... No, wait, it isn't 'run' anymore, it is rolled. Let's exaggerate a little; Nintendo is rolled, pushed in a wheelchair, and the person pushing it dropped it down a hill. I love Nintendo, I have for over twenty years. That is why it hurts a little, that it seems they're losing touch with its fans and the market. To compare, just as an example: I don't love Microsoft remotely the same way. So seeing Microsoft losing touch with me as a gamer and Xbox 360 owner with Xbox One, doesn't make me sad at all. Could it be the investors holding them back? To get back on track, Nintendo would have to spend big money to hire outside developers to ease the problems with rising drain on manpower to keep supporting two platforms with a steady flow of games. I'm thinking that maybe the management is not allowed to use the vast funds Nintendo has, to correct this, because the long-term gain in using this strategi, is just 'too long-term' for its investors?
  17. Wii U eShop Thread

It seems to me Frozenbyte are one of few publishers having discount on their eShop game close to as often as they have the same game discounted on Steam, albeit at a slightly higher price. I respect them for acknowledging the Wii U audience as an equal to the Sony/Microsoft/PC crowd.
  18. Nintendo Direct: The Legend of Buffering

    It's on now!!!!! Yes!!!!!
  19. The 90′s Arcade Racer

Yes, Germany has USK while rest of Europe use PEGI. But still, with 'only' two agencies for all these countries, there must be money to be made releasing games in Europe, even on Wii U! Right? I just don't understand this. Is EUR 300 the whole cost for a European-wide rating? Less Germany, of course.
  20. Art of Balance HD

This looks fun, and I have never played the previous games, so I will buy this! Shin'en always puts out so polished games, I love them!
  21. Wii U VC

Should have read: Wishful thinking, of course.
  22. Sonic Boom: Rise of Lyric

Is it strange that this is the first ever Sonic game that has got my interest past "oh, looks nice, but feels average"? I should tell you I have never played a Sonic game all the way through. I only tried a game on the Mega Drive as a kid at a friend's house. Other than that I played the demos of Generations on PS3, and Lost World on Wii U, and neither of those grabbed my attention. The Sonic Boom Wii U trailer however, was interesting, and I look forward to seeing more.
  23. Wii U eShop Thread

Toki Tori 2, how I love that game! Everybody needs to try that!
  24. Dr. Luigi

I'll play online! But be warned, I'm not good, so you might not get enough of a challenge. On Retro Remedy I am only at level 23 on low, 15 on medium, 10 on high.
  25. Donkey Kong Country: Tropical Freeze

The new David Wise tracks has put me into massive hype mode for this game! BRING IT ON!
