Today is my One Hundred and Eleventieth Birthday.
weeyellowbloke replied to Shorty's topic in General Chit Chat
I must have joined up I think around April 2002 when I was 15 year old n00b with a brand new Gamecube. I remember my first post was asking what 1st, 2nd, 3rd and 4th quarter meant on release dates. What a cock. Anyway things improved since then and eventually I got enough posts and guts to dare to post in general chit-chat. Though I've always been just a bit of a lurker I still have some good memories of this place. The mixtape mixup was great and I enjoyed the meet last year. It's strange, this place is a bit of a constant in my life that I feel has grown up alongside me. -
Awesome. I'll have to head out to the countryside a bit away from the street lights. Remember checking out a meteor shower in Birmingham a couple of years back, but the best I could come up with was to pretend that some airplanes were like shooting stars. It wasn't nearly as good, as they were nothing like shooting stars.

What? Don't be ashamed, it's the judges that should be shamed by their crap taste if they hate on Ella. Another onion hater here. I don't understand why anyone includes them in recipes and especially why people put raw onion in salads. You might as well add a napalm dressing seeing as it's already irreparably ruined. Also another dislike is the general public. They are a constant reminder of why democracy can never work and society is will always end up tearing itself apart. Oh the nihilism.

Are Street Sharks Mammals or Fish?
weeyellowbloke replied to ReZourceman's topic in General Chit Chat
Do they have nipples? I reckon they could be a highly evolved form of Sharky from Sharky and George. -
Was it at the lesbian scene? I know something came up for me there too. Anyway awesome idea, I've never heard of Primer but it sounds like an interesting watch.

Too funky for words: Talking Heads is where it's at.

Hey Benny; screw you!

The guy definately had mental health issues, but then so do hundreds of thousands of other people who don't go around shooting people. The system probably did let him down and I feel a bit of sympathy, but the guy is definately not a legend, he was a selfish messed up individual who couldn't deal with his emotions and so decided if he was going down everyone should go with him. As for freedom of speech, I think everyone has the right to free speech, but you have the responsibility not to be a complete dick in public exercising that right. You can't handle the responsibility then you lose the right.

The CIA had to admit they were impressed, and slightly disturbed, by their informants latest intel from North Korea. Or "I'm so ronery"

Bernard: Hey guys, I'm from the future. Guess what, turns out there isn't any illness on the Island so you can take off those suits, Dharma is just dicking with you. Oh, but don't stop pushing the button though or you'll release a whole heap of crap. Well, I better get back before Rose starts bitching at me again, see ya.

Ugh, my mate used to that constantly. It would piss me off royally. It was great though having the blur fests on Perfect Dark. Stick on N-bombs, tranquilizer and crossbow and a couple of damage dealing weapons and watch the chaos ensue.

No, we were trying to spread the bomb about the place and make it diffuse.......by blowing it up. Hmmm, my face saving exercise has failed I suspect.

Heading down after school, oooh about 9 years ago now, to the local internet cafe. £1 an hour LAN gaming on Counterstrike and Battlefield 1942. Awesome times, 12 of us in the room at the back screaming advice and instructions to the remaining players as they attempted to diffuse the bomb or rescue some hostages knowing that a sniper was waiting somewhere outside to pick them off. Cafe owner would call out for pizza as well sometimes. Damn I feel old now remembering it.

If You Could Destroy The Earth, Would You?
weeyellowbloke replied to ReZourceman's topic in General Chit Chat
Everyone gets that destructive urge when creating something intricate and beautiful. It's like kicking over a giant sandcastle when you're a kid, or trying to drown every visitor in the park on Rollercoaster Tycoon. However destroying the whole Earth is not the solution. I agree with Flink, channel your destrucive urges into destroying all that you hate morals be damned. Come to the dark side....it's fun. -
I Saw Saw for the first time last night. I found it pretty good, the set up is compelling. Don't know whether I'll see the rest of the series though. I mean how that guy spent all that time lying completely still without giving the game away was a bit daft, but all in all it was funtime horror. 8/10

Brian McCoy would disapprove of McCoy's style being stolen. You could try opening a dictionary twice and just combining the two entries you find, for example I just came up with monoflapper.

I'm going to try that too. Other than that I'm going to get a new job within the Midlands area even if it kills me, try to read the many books I've accumulated over the last 5 months, have some form of comedy hijinks and finally attempt something creative like write a musical based around the life of Brunel or something.

I don't think clicking joints are a problem and I think anal lumps could have a number of causes, but then I'm not a doctor so really my opinion on this matter is worthless. Therefore my advice would be to go see a trained medical professional first and only then get a second opinion from us or possibly 4chan.

Hmmm, Temper Trap seemed to just wash past with little impact on me. Think I'll plumb for Alanis, in spite of the video featuring Nicholas Cage making very strange expressions.

Really? I would say the most derivative thing around right now is this: Worst thing is it's not just derivative it's also catchy. Having it stuck in your head is like living in a beige world with only rice crackers to eat.

Only heard the new single, swoon, so far, but if the rest of the album is as delicious I will be very much satisfied.

I like to watch for the possible philosophical and psychological implications of removing people from the realm of normality and societies rule into a controlled world although largely void of law. Will they decend into a Hobbs style nightmare from which the only escape is building a self-imposed society and law or will they naturally gravitate towards society through preconceived morals. And what style of society will they create, utilitarian, authoritarian, democratic. Well, it's that and the possibility of seeing some very very low grade porn while watching the late night live feed.

Set off a nuke on it....no seriously, there are (insane) people suggesting this. Way to go averting an ecological disaster, now we only have radioactive fallout to deal.

Question: Is coolness bears on the junior apprentice? In other news, I still need a new job and I'm still getting rejection emails (occassionally, like when companies can actually be arsed to reply).

What would you do if you woke up as the opposite sex?
weeyellowbloke replied to Happenstance's topic in General Chit Chat
I'd get some breakfast, then curse that I have put so much more effort into getting ready to leave the house.
