    I'd try a different monitor if you have one at hand. If it still isn't working I'd be tempted to say it's video card related, I had a similar(ish) problem when I installed my new card, though I could still boot into safe mode.

    I play my Wii through a standard-def CRT and an RGB cable. I have a component cable, and I've tried it through a few HDTVs and my monitor/TV upstairs, and it looks nowhere near as good.

    My dad leaves the room when I walk in with a cup of coffee, yet the smell sends me into a primordial caffeine-lust. I even like black coffee cold, or maybe worse still luke-warm, especially when I'm trying to a shake a chronic hangover.

    My thoughts exactly, Red Steel did a lot of things wrong, but it was entertaining enough, and even though it didn't warrant multiple play-throughs I've been looking forward to more ever since I finished it, providing more time's spent smoothing out the bumps.

    It'd take a bigger set of balls than the one I own to go onto the internet without any from of protection, I've lost too many PC's that way.

    That's a great card, ATI have well and truly reclaimed the sub-£200 range with this one. I've been taking a long, hard look at the 4870 recently, it'd be my first Radeon since the 9600 pro I had a few years back.

    It's so new I haven't actually bought it yet :P. I'm just in my pre-purchase research mode atm. Concerning the PC connection, I was more interested in the difference between VGA and DVI, as I have both options available on this monitor.

    I have a similar(ish) query that I didn't see the point in making a fresh thread for. I have this monitor, which doubles up as an HDTV, which has a range of input options (here is a photo of the rear panel). My PC is connected via the VGA input, so if I was to connect a 360 which of the available inputs would be the best option? Also, would I receive a clearer picture for my PC if I bought a dongle to connect it to the DVI-D input instead? Thanks
