A fictional band's album (the Clicker made it real).

Remind me to never do this again.

He has hinted he is, or will be, working on something. Plus I think there's only a finite amount of topic he can cover. Would like to see some more collabs like the GCCX one. Sad they didn't sub the GCCX side of that though.

On a semi-related note, Sakurai says he'll be wrapping up his YouTube channel sometime this year. From YouTube:

Nintendo Switch Online + Expansion Pack: N64 & SEGA Mega Drive (& GBA!!)

The battle mode works across games so it looks like that is supported. I don't think it's possible for 1 player to play 2 games though, both would need to be running so you can choose the send and receive options. -

The website makes it look like you require 2 players to do it via cable transfer. -
Tried it last night (on Ultimate though), max I got was 5. I know it's called Cruel Smash, but it's a bit too cruel.

I’m getting the slowdown too.

Xanadu!? Bought! Also picked up Ghost Trick in the New Years sale.

Probably went on those 3DS eShop games. I heard his donation got rejected as well, you would think that would be something you check beforehand (if it's true).

I got tired of failing the tutorial so I tried that with no luck. I suck at rhythm games at the best of times. I did actually manage to pass the tutorial the time I was successful though.

Those Yoshi race controls are awful, somehow managed to flub a win eventually.

Dragon Quest Monsters: The Dark Prince (1st December 2023)
Ike replied to Julius's topic in Nintendo Gaming
Stopped procrastinating and just synthesising monsters and finished up the main story. Think I've finished all the post game stuff so now I think I'm done unless I get the urge to synthesise some more monsters. Got my favourite Watabou (or Fluffy according to the new localisation) from the first Monsters game so pretty satisfied for now. Some of the other monsters require some complicated work to get so going to leave them for now. -

Update is out, seems they fixed the performance issues. They also added the Alter of Amalgamation as a Zoom location which addresses my main complaint. Edit: hm, performance not completely fixed, seemed fine in the areas I was in, still get issues in other areas. -
I'm playing Alan Wake myself and it's great, deserved the awards it got.

@Dcubed Santa came early and delivered Analogue Pocket 2.0 update, if you haven't seen.

Dragon Quest Monsters: The Dark Prince (1st December 2023)

Seems I misremembered and it wasn’t that big a jump according to that screenshot. My Angel Slime did gain 16 levels though, but maybe because it was quite low still. -

My highest is 12. One team was just a single monster so got bit of a freebie there. I hit a wall against a boss in the upper echelon so I went off to grind/synthesise some more. Managed to defeat a Liquid Metal and a Metal King which shot my levels up from 30's to 50's. The boss was doing 80 - 90% to my whole team in one turn. After that level boosts, it was quite a lot easier (my monsters being around level 50). I find synthesis quite addictive once you get going, I do wish the synthesis area was a little closer to get to though. Not sure how you meant to know some of the synthesis requirements as you needs monster with certain grandparents to get a certain result. -
Saturday is fine with me.

Speaking of which, they don't seem to have walkthroughs for newer games. Do they not do that anymore?

Maybe it’s more apparent at higher levels, or they need to be levelled by the player? There’s a stats calculator that includes the size value. https://dev.metalkid.info/DQM3/Calculators/MaxStats I’ve only just found a wild Cactiball in a middle area that an NPC in the lower area wanted to synthesise, seems a bit weird they did that. Your synthesise’d monsters should catch up quicker though, they should have higher stats as the child inherits some of its parent’s stats. Finally found and killed my first wild Metal Slime today though.
