  1. 3D Modelling Thread

Wheeeee, 3D. I should actually be trying my hand at some more 3D stuff. I'm studying animation and of course they're also wanting us to do 3D stuff (we work with Lightwave in school). However, the classes we've had up to this point have sort of sucked really bad and I'm just not good at this stuff. So yeah, I should actually really try to improve on it; any and all tips are welcome. =D Right here I have a screenshot of my Makar model I did last year. Not the finished version, but still looks quite the same. Just a naked model though; no texturing yet (which I just first tried out this year). I had to try and put it in a background and stuff. I actually tried to animate it too but there's just all kinds of stuff going wrong with the model. I don't yet really understand much of the more advanced bones settings and I don't know how to prevent the model from deforming. So I didn't really animate much in here. Still, you can check it out here. Beware though, it's like, almost 43 MB. >.>; If anyone knows how I can make the filesize smaller without having to render all of it over again, please tell me. ='D http://www.inespiration.com/school/makaraf.avi (there's sound in there too, so be sure to put on your headphones/turn on your speakers; even though it's just Makar's violin theme song thingie X3 )
  2. Thankyou!

Well, I've been here for about maybe 3 days now and I guess I could also say that I sort of feel welcome here. In a weird sort of way. Not that I really got a "hey, welcome new user!" sort of welcome, but I don't mind. X3 I too hope to stay here for a long time to come. If you don't mind me being here at least.

I think I would've gotten the same kind of responses had I just posted different pics of me. And don't go to try and deny it, it's true. =P
  4. Merci, Adieu, Bon Aniversaire et Adieu...

Happy birthday and good luck with your new job! =D Go teach them Frenchies a lesson... in English.

Apologies accepted. Not that I was offended or anything really. Been around on the world wide web for quite some time already and you tend to get used to this kind of stuff over time.

Dream on boy, you ain't getting it. =P
  7. Howl's Moving Castle

Still haven't seen this movie. Could've seen it months ago on an animation festival here, but I was stuck in France at that time. And I've never seen it come to theaters actually. Will probably rent it went it comes out. =3 Also, I wouldn't say all of Miyazaki's movies are aimed at kids. I mean, look at Princess Mononoke; quite some violence in there that I don't think is really aimed at kids. Ghibli movies just have a bit for everyone I think. That's what makes them so wonderful. =3

Sorry, no. I think I heard it on the radio and read it in the newspaper or something. Has been a couple of months already too.

Meh, these hurricanes aren't really because of global warming. It's some sort of cycle these things go through; a couple of years in a row they're not that destructive and there's less of them, then there's a period again in which they're a lot stronger and there appear more of them. And right now they're going through the "lots of destructive hurricanes" period. Hurricanes are being formed because of warmer water, yes, but the global warming hasn't had that big of an influence on it yet. That might change over the years though. And as far as I know, Bush recently actually acknowledged that there's such a thing as global warming. Don't remember if they're actually going to do something (kinda doubt it). But it's not like he's the one taking decisions on everything himself; he's got an entire goverment behind him telling him what to do.

    Alright, time to bring some more girlyness to this thread. =P Three pictures of me, going from old to new. Yes, I like sticking out my tongue... >.>;

    http://edition.cnn.com/2005/WEATHER/09/19/storm.names/index.html Says 21.
  12. Rita

For whoever was wondering about the names, they make a list of 21 names (21 because that's the most storms they've had in a year or whatever the time period is they use). These names have to stand out and be easy to remember. Also, they use both male and female names (male, female, male, female, etc.). However, when one of these storms causes death and a lot of destruction, it is taken off the list to never be used again. ='3

*is so worried* My boyfriend lives in Texas... ;_____; He doesn't live close to the coast though (Dallas area), so I hope he won't have to deal with too much hurricane stuff... *continues to worry*
  14. Rate the above users user name

Hehehe, thanks. X3 Raining_again: I like your name, because it's something I have to say quite often around here (all that rain, why will it never stop raininggggg). Plus, it's the title of a Moby song. And since I love Moby so much, I love your name too. ='D 9/10 bob: easy to remember. Makes me think of the police for some reason. X3 8/10

I feel sort of neglected. X3

Trying to imagine a dark snowman... Black snow would be cool. But an evil dark side snowman is even cooler. Combine both and you have the ultimate child devouring monster. Awesome. XD 9/10 My name is basically just the way English people would have to pronounce my real name (Ine). And since I constantly had to explain to people how to say my name, I just started using it as my nickname. Woohoo. Boringness. X3
  17. Played Commander Keen 1 and 4 again recently. Awesome games; full of memories for me. I'm also a bit of a Dr. Mario addict. And I dug out my SNES again this summer to play some Aladdin, Mario Kart (more difficult than I remember it being =O ) and Super Mario World. =3
  18. Choir Sings Mario etc

This is classic stuff. Seriously made me laugh, hard. X3 *loves it*
  19. deviantart anyone?

Right, oekaki is not a style, it's the name of the program. Most people tend to draw in anime style now just because it's the popular thing to do now. We have rooms on there that are specifically meant for non-anime drawings like realism. So yeah, style really doesn't matter; it's all allowed. =3 And yeah, sometimes DA does feel like a popularity contest, which kind of bothers me. But since I barely get any pageviews/comments anyway, it doesn't really affect me that much. I still draw because I like to draw and I will always keep on doing that. It would be nice to get some more views, but I won't die if I don't. =P
  20. deviantart anyone?

Well, oekaki is basically just an online drawing program. There are different versions of it, but I think you can sort of compare it to a small online Photoshop version or something. And it's addictive. =P I'm not sure I'm allowed to post links to other sites here (other than DA pages of course), but you can go to http://www.oekakicentral.com to check it out. It's a big site with a lot of different rooms and themes and enough places to test it out. Plus, I'm a moderator there. X3 But yeah, you should try it out if you love to draw. Really fun and I love the community there. =3 Also, thanks for your comment on my DA page. Indeed, some more credit would be nice, but oh well, whatcha gonna do about it eh. ='D
  21. deviantart anyone?

Yep, I commented on your Sheena picture. It's pretty. =3 I also really like your photographs; skies are so awesome. =D
  22. deviantart anyone?

It's great to see so many people being active on DA. Yay for creativeness. =D Of course I also have my own page (http://eenuh.deviantart.com/), on which you will mostly find oekaki work from me. And maybe hopefully soon some paintings as I've started painting recently. =3 *will be sure to check out all of your pages over time*
