To be honest, I don't really trust Matt's indside opinion on the hardware front now. Anyway just because it doesn't support "some" shader effects doesn't mena that it won't be supporting others or have other specialised technologies. It doesn't mean that MP3 won't change that much. Adding a mass load of extra lighting effects, level design and game design are gonna have a lot more of an impact than a couple of shading effects. This is why I hate tech talks....

Not necessarily a camera. Read the other threads. It is likely just to be some kind of texture editing software, so you just make the face like you would in any art package program. There has been no suggestion of there really being a camera so far.

Yeah that's a good point. He did say characateur though, so it may be a "make yourself a face" editing suite.

Well they are probably being manufactured in the US and in Asia so it would make sense to ship to EU first because it will counter any shipping delay and beaurocratic problems. And knowing the EU there will be lots. But there will only be a small number. So in fact it makes no difference to if they released it later with a decent amount of stock. It just makes Sony look better. I'm guessing that UK will probably get the largest shipment. What are we thinking? Maybe 2000 units for the whole country?

Yeah, seeing how many avenues that they want to persue potentially with the Wii actually gets me quite excited. It's really good to see that they are thinking of loads of different ways in which people could use the Wii. And for you morons, WiiBreeding is likely to be to do with dog breeds for a Nintendogs interest.

One interesting thing the guys from Retro said was that they were working on lots of light effects but in the next game maybe their focus would be on slightly different things. Makes it sound like they are trying to persue the same path for this game graphically as the others to try and keep the style across the trilogy. Also it means that the next game is probably gonna be visually quite different.

Personally I just like the idea of making the Wii remote your own personal device and the console is part of the home. Maybe there will be an SD card port on it after all...

Hang on, I just realised something. How does Atari gaining the rights for online and handheld editions EWJ help us Nintendo people? It doesn't necessarily mean that any new games will come to the DS or the Wii. It could just be for PSP and online. Anyway just actually reading the description of the new game makes it just sound like more of the same. Come on Shiny.... you're more original than this.

Yeah I always thought that the scale of the launch party was pretty crazy considering that Tiger were unknowns. Also kept seeing all the stuff about Erikson trying to kill himslef in the car on gamesindustry.biz . There was lots of other stuff as well. Reeeeally dodgy people. They would swindle their own parents; oh whoops, they already have!

It's true that we are maybe being a bit overly harsh, but from all of the problems from the previous 3D Sonics we can see many of them displayed clearly here. As these we the points that made the games shitty, there is little confidence in this title. Also everyone keeps comparing it to Wildfire which I guess we shouldn't do as it's a "completely different gaming experience..."

Just had a look around play-asia and lik-sang and by the price I doubt it. The game is cheaper than buying a sperate controller. There are some PSX ones going pretty cheap on ebay. Dunno if they are compatable thouhgh.
